Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I acquired both of these pre-CAC, and never submitted. In both cases neither dealer would budge on the price. But yesterday’s stupid money sometimes turns out to be a bargain over time.
I love the 21-p, the 21-not so much ;D
I really like your 21-D. Not easy to find in that grade.
I think I paid fair prices for these based on the market. I also needed them to complete my collection of all CC Morgans including the 1900 O/CC. Well, no I don't have the ALL as I am often told, rather 1 of each!
Here is one. This was a punch-in-the-face stretch. But what are you going to do when the coin is scarce and exceptionally nice?
PCGS AU58
Went through that with the 1852. I hopped into an auction that was closing at a ridiculously low price, lost all common sense, and ended up buying a coin I wasn't thrilled about and not a good fit for a ridiculously high price. Coins grading "AU58 with CAC" will be carefully avoided in the future. No point fighting the Everyman collectors when I would have been perfectly happy with a VF coin.
I'm a price shopper but this one necessitated, what to me was, 'stupid money.' It's CAC stickered but didn't pay over or under PCGS pricing. I could make a lot more money in a high yield saving account. Lol. But then, I wouldn't have this beauty to hold and to round out my MS Morgan Carson City collection. More stupid money is needed for the 63+.
They arent any rarer than the proofs of any other date in the set. There is no practical reason why these should cost what they do, proofs have no business belonging in a business strike set, so the fact that they dont have 1895 P business strikes shouldnt matter, there are plenty of 'proof only' coins in other series and they dont carry this much of a premium.

Forever buried, but still fun to own!
I didn’t spend much, but I don’t like it much, either. Today is the only day that it merits being shown.

Lance,
That 15/2 is a show stopper. That thing is gorgeous in every way😎

PCGS VF30 CAC. I paid big money for this coin, but I was happy to have the first shot at it.

A lot but worth it IMO. Ex Bass
That a beautiful coin ... for fun did you consider getting a CMQ sticker as well?
Ill never admit what I paid but this coin has that special unique look to it.

These three definitely fit the bill.

How do I post pics of my entire collection?

That’s incredible for an 80-O!
And @drddm those halves are gorgeous.
@horseyride: I didn’t, but maybe not a bad idea! Not many triple stickers yet. Sorry for the delay in replying - I’ve been vacationing.
