Just made a new purchase- 1893-CC PR65+ CAC (pop 2/1). This is the finest known with a CAC sticker. There is a PCGS 66CAM without a sticker that I was also recently offered but I chose this one.
So here is the set so far:
1878-S SP65 CAC VAM 58 (pop 1/0)
1884-CC SP67 Cameo CAC (pop 1/0)
1893-CC PR65+ CAC (pop 2/1)
1921 SP66+ Zerbe CAC (pop 2/0)
1921 NGC PF67* Chapman

Congrats. Amazing coins.
You are building a landmark collection my friend. It's really special.
Proof Morgans sure are beautiful. I love it when you can see every detail struck up exactly how it was intended.
All wonderful! The 78-S is particularly so.

Those are absolutely unreal. So, what's the story behind how they even exist?
Amazing collection of things with less than a handful known.

Beautiful set of Morgan dollars.

Going for Jack Lee levels of Morgan-collecting excellence, I see.
Thanks everyone- and yes the 84CC was owned by Jack Lee
Great question and one of the reasons these are so interesting to me.
The 1878-S was made by San Francisco Mint Superintendent Dodge for U.S. Mint Director Linderman at his request- here’s the full story:
https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1077146/unique-survivor-1878-s-sp65-vam-58-morgan-dollar#latest
The 84CC has no documentation discovered thus far.
The 93CC was likely struck to commemorate the cessation of coining operations at the Carson City Mint in 1893.
The 1921 Zerbe was struck by the Philadelphia Mint at the specific request of Farran Zerbe- collector, dealer, and former president of the ANA- certainly not true proof strikings but more “Special Strike” coins.
The 1921 Chapman was the result of a request for proof 1921 silver dollars that well connected coin dealer Henry Chapman made to Chief Engraver George T. Morgan- they appear more like true Philadelphia proof Morgans than the Zerbe Special Strikes.
Great coins @Floridafacelifter
You picked an A 65 vs presumably a C 66.
Was it a tough decision for you or was the 65 CAC clearly a better coin?
To my eye the 65+ was clearly better- I’ll take a slightly lower grade for a much more attractive coin any day, and the CAC sticker is the icing on the cake. If you notice all of these have CAC stickers- this is an esoteric bunch of coins that not everyone agrees with so the more opinions/endorsements the better!
If it'll help, I'm happy to offer my endorsement as well.

Someone in the CAC Forum asked about a 1921 Chapman which I do have- but in NGC and no CAC sticker. I’m going to add it to the OP now just for completeness. One day may try to cross and/or sticker it.
Woof! Swoon! Thanks for sharing!
Simply AMAZING!!!! I'm sure the prices are amazing as well.
