I just found this Overton half dollar book in the basement. I dont even remember purchasing this book. Its been buried for at least 35 years. WOW I'm going to have to dig in and do some early half dollar studying.

I wish I could find all my coin related books but they were all lost in the move

Can sympathize with you. Lost mine years ago. Red/Blue books,Jean Cohen book on BIE cents,Design Cud,Photograde,Spadone book on errors.
Nice basement find, certainly better than finding a dead cockroach or a live snake, I’ve found both.
I was down there looking for something else and didn't find what I was looking for. At least something good came out of my searching.
@alaura22 thats sad news.
@jesbroken yours appears to be a slightly older version.

Here is a 2012 coin world article (by BustDM I believe) on the Bust Half die marriage and 'book' progression and the Overton books through the 4th edition. Since this article was 2012 there is a 5th edition that I see on searches and one of them identified it as 2014 but I did not look for more.
PS - I believe the revised edition (and with multiple printings) is the second edition in the article.

omg, the humanity
I am sort of happy I don't have a basement (very few in North Central Texas) 'cause I would have a lot of stuff down there that I would forget about. But then again, it would occasionally be like a treasure hunt!

Were I to move(although I live in the house I was born in, so not likely), My coins would be in the safe on the moving truck and my books would fill the back seat and storage area of my car and I would eat in the car on the way. JMO
