If you look at the diagnostics, you can tell it's 1917, not 1916. I know it's not exactly laughable, since it's an easy mistake to make, but I figured this was the best place to post it.

However bad it may seem, there is no danger of cancer according to this.

The fact that someone has scratched and maybe aid treated the coin to see if it has a V.D.B. makes this more amusing. You still can't see it though.

Item description from the seller
1969-S PCGS MS64RD BIG ERROR DDO KEY DATE CENT, Certification Without Looking $$
A perfect example of PCGS oversight of the actual coin strikes, strong DDO, Face, Date, Mint Mark. How is it I’m seeing some of the most valuable coins with the most noticeable missing details missed when grading a coin.
I’ve noticed all over eBay, the Internet, including dealers saying how upset they are about these high dollar coins being under graded.
This 1969-S key date high dollar Lincoln Penny “DDO” slaps you right in your face with more DDO than I see on my other PCGS, ANACS, and NGC certifications given to my collection of error coins.
Please note:
Machine Double Die usually is on dates or mint marks as they are added at other mint locations vs where a coin was minted.
Double Die as shown throughout Lincoln’s face, eyes, cheeks, lips, chin, nose, are mint DDO, double die obverse. Please let’s not get confused by minted errors on coins. Again, dates and mint marks added at completely separate mint locations.
Example, San Francisco mints millions of coins then sends them to Philadelphia, or Denver to have dates or mint locations added, there could possibly be a machine double die or regular double die when adding dates or mint marks.
Unfortunately even graders become confused. I’ve known many in this grading and mint locations, and they become confused.
My point of view is the mint locations are using the same machine causing the same effect. Machine double die is a loose die. Regular double die, is a mint machine re-striking causing a double die date or mint mark. Who ever figured this out seems to have forgotten the same machine to strike a date or mint mark, caused both a double die, or what looks like a double die, is called a machine die. “Makes zero sense”, both are double strikes no matter how you look at it by the same machine.
I have placed examples of both DDO and machine DDO in my listing photos.
It’s funny that PCGS says if a coin is missing it’s correct grading, and or label, the coin can be corrected for a fee.
I’m selling this coin exactly as shown in my photos.
Price is per PCGS grading DDO MS64RD DDO 1969-S Lincoln Cent.

What's really funny are items that do not get snagged or identified by the "experts" that are worth real money, people don't want to return stuff so if the pics are not clear they are likely to pass over gems in the rough.
