One of the earliest die states I've seen. The tell-tale crack barely exists.
Let's see your examples and watch it grow.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I love OP's EDS!

I examined this example in hand and right away recognized it was a very early die state! Was able to take a closeup while I had the opportunity. I am glad you purchased it! Undergraded too, that reverse is real lustrous!!!

I have Steve Herrman’s old example that he purchased in 1997. Then I realized I don’t have a reverse pic! Ugh…. 😑

The question is… where was the individual who coined “Bearded Goddess” when this variety was named? “Large Letters” is a missed opportunity!
“Fleshy Mangled Wing”
“Shanked Eagle”
“Losing Altitude Fast”
Damn, that’s probably the earliest die state I’ve seen, congrats!
Here’s mine, with the crack not fully formed like in some of the others posted.

EXTREMELY COOL!

@CircCam Severed Wing sounds like a cool variety name!

Oh my Jim, what a great looking example!
That was just the beginning for sure. Earliest state I have seen so far.
@drddm's is rather early too
My isn't

Thanks, everybody for the kind words and pics. Lots of great looking "Shanked Eagle" examples.
Thanks for sharing this post-- the evolution of the die is so nicely demonstrated here. Very cool!
