As you all likely know I collect Walkers, Franklins and 1964-1970 Kennedy halves. However I do have these two earlier halves whose photos I contribute to this fantastic thread.
Purchased by me over 45 years ago and graded in 2022 as an EF40.

Woohooo!
That's such a great coin @scubafuel !
Been admiring it for awhile and imagining what I'd have to shift to pull the trigger.. as you can see, I never did. ( although there is one that I did work out a deal for...)
Congrats!
Y'all know how coins can talk to you. Well, these coins yelled and screamed at me until I bought them. The 78-S screamed "last call" ... "all aboard!" The 92-O slapped me at a FUN show. To me, it was the most beautifully toned, eye-catching coin in the seller's top display case. The 57-S caused a frantic rush to check it over and SMASH the BIN. It's a JOY to own and present these. And there are others...
"Substance over style."
"Substance and Style" damaged stylishly. And no, I don't think I bought the 92-O because Liberty's branded with my first initial, and neither did the last owner. I JUST LOVE these coins!!
@crazyhounddog Looks like you have the incorrect reverse photo for that 1822. That is the reverse of the 1814 O-103!

Very nice coin Catbert.
How about a pair that saw more than their fair share of checkout counters and pockets down south.

The 1814 O.106a….a favorite die marriage and die state, for obvious reasons!

I still haven't given up hope Dave!
This one's my place holder...😄
One from Dave's that I love!
Nothing like a VF cast off from an advanced collector 😘
Sorry mine are all damaged. I hope it's ok to include foreign coinage.
That’s one helluva place holder @jayPem
And that’s a sweet 1808 O.110a too, miss that one 😩
Dave
Hope it's okay to post multiple favorites! Here's another:

This is a fun coin for me as it's a nice pair with my 1836 Gobrecht.

I'm still enjoying your 1795 and 1812, @CircCam
Lots of amazing, gorgeous halves in this thread!
@Catbert The more the merrier! I was just enjoying your 1852-O.
That 55-S is amazing! @DeplorableDan. It looks MS to me - very rare. And tells a story as well.

I love nice type coins in rattlers.
A couple of my halves.
MS62 CAC. This coin is very pleasing to look at when seen in hand. @robec captured the subtle toning well.
