Wow 65+ CNGRTS!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
66, but the exceptional eye appeal and surfaces, except for the sun, could have earned it 67.
Let us all savor this rare moment, when everyone’s guess is within two grade levels

Darn, I thought that it was a 64 but everyone was shooting the moon, I was embarrassed to come with a lowly 64!😂
My gut was thinking 64 with some of the high points and marks in the left field in the shadows. But the luster looked so good.
That will 5 today.

Exactly! I couldn’t take my eyes off that left field. But man, talk about killer luster!👍
Great photography!
Darn nice 64.
Back to grading school for me, that looks way better than a 64

I missed the fantastic gtg, but here is my take. Denver Coin takes photos similar to the op's, and they make their coins look a lot better than they actual are. The op's photos are phenomenal, or they make the coin look phenomenal and that is why I believe the subject coin look like a ms65 gem ms68 all day long. I guess the adage, one cannot grade accurately from photos take precedence. Anyways, if the coin really and truly looks like the photo then I am very jealous
When I first glanced, I too thought 66. Then, there’s something going on in the shadow of the left field and also between one of the rays above the ‘9.’ Now I don’t know much about Saints, but I thought it could be a potential issue.

That's a 5 everyday!
Unless I am missing unseen hairlines (tilted at an angle?) I don't get it.

Lots of upgrades in old blue holders these days.

I've seen some pretty fugly 64 Saints.
That isn't one of them.
The above pics are not mine, they're from GC. Here's the other from their website:

That's a nice one.
But it won’t sticker as a 4 today?
That is a very Lustrous example of the 1927 Saint for sure!
It's all about what the people want...
CAC is TOUGH on gold.

If that coin failed to sticker, it would have to be for something nefarious that we can’t see. I saw the shadows in the field initially, and I still graded it as a solid 65.

I grade it just about 2 grand ....plus or minus a couple hundred , depending on which side of the counter I'm working.
Now, on my work pc I can enlarge and see the deep hits her crotch area otherwise 65/66 all day.
Those hits are disguised well, and wouldn’t hold it back from 65 imo. I don’t even think they would hold it back from 66 if there were no other deep hits like the one in the left field.
Here’s a MS67 I recently sold, and it has one of those deeper pock marks in a similar location.

By shadows, you mean multiple bagmarks, DD ?
I guessed MS-65 with a good chance it was MS-66.
I've seen photos of coins where the lighting angle changes and you look at "before-and-after" shots and the coin looks TOTALLY different, like a 6-8 grade drop -- or more !! I couldn't believe my own eyes one time, it was that huge a change.
Deliberate or accidental, lighting angles alone can totally change how a coin looks from the actual naked eye visual (I guess some of you photog experts already know that). First time I saw it, again, I really was stunned.
I would guess TrueViews and the HA/GC pictures are done in such a way that there is no visual distortion, huh ?
I just meant you can usually find the blemishes hiding in the shadows. Phil does a great of this when warranted. But by the same token sometimes these hits are highlighted especially on moderns or if they just can't hide.
Do you have another 67 ex. for sale? @DeplorableDan
