Ok so I’ve resisted making picks because, well because. I’d like to see Buffalo win and finally slay the dragon of 13 seconds. So much has been written about Allen not being able to beat Mahomes but he did throw the go ahead TD with 17 seconds left.
Just one before I’m gone. That’s all I ask.

I've got Taylor winning this one, no one out there can challenge her. On to the AFC championship.

Buffalo, for sure. They are due and deserve it. I am tired of Patrick Mahomes ads.

Tonight's game, I feel, will be riddled with emotion for both sides. Bills want to advance, but also want to defeat KC in the worst way. KC the defending SB winner does not want to give it up. Throw in swirling Swift emotions and the ingredients are there for a knockdown/drag out game.Add in poor weather and the survivor will surely be spent and softened up for a road game in Baltimore next week. Course this is a logical viewpoint and we know how logic applied to an NFL game works out.

As I said elsewhere, Buffalo has no defense. Kansas City wins again. They say Buffalo has nothing but backup linebackers. They sure can’t stop Kansas City, which means Buffalo loses the game.

Buffalo just did a fake that handed the game to Kansas City. Game over.

Buffalo gets the ball back on a lucky touchback. The game is still over. Buffalo just can’t beat Kansas City. It’s written the stars.

What is the Buffalo management thinking about? They have an injured punter. They hire a new one and then cut him. Now they have the injured guy punting like a guy in pee-wee football. Want to talk about stupid?

    Bass misses the field goal.

Game over Buffalo loses again. Buffalo will never beat Kansas City when it counts, NEVER

You can take that to the bank and Los Vegas in future years.

Didn’t matter. The defense, coaches management didn’t show up.

And Josh Allen still hasn't won anything. He had opportunities tonight but seemed like when it mattered the most he just wasn't up to it, especially on that last drive and the last couple of passes. Wait till next year......................

The inability to get any big plays on offense killed the Bills last night, I think they had ZERO plays of 20 yards plus compared to KC's 8 I think

At least he put them in a position to tie the game though

But your correct he still hasn't won anything, but neither has a host of other top tier QB's or Mayfield for that matter

  • MaywoodMaywood Posts: 2,097 ✭✭✭✭✭

neither has a host of other top tier QB’s or Mayfield

The difference is that Mayfield and the host of “other” QB’s don’t get the hype that Allen and the Bills get. The enthusiasm last night’s announcers had for Buffalo was thick, especially at the beginning of the game.

The story with Buffalo repeats itself each season: start sort of slow, struggle mid-season, finish strong and lose to KC in the playoffs. We’ve all seen the movie before. Meanwhile, Josh Allen gets hyped as a top QB while playing himself out of the top 5.

I wish the Buffalo Bills would finally make the Super Bowl, to lose yet again, or fade into the sunset and rebuild the team. History tends to favor the latter. Right now the Dolphins are close, the Jets are within striking distance and I can’t see the Patriots being a doormat for long. Buffalo sort of inherited the division when Brady left, I see them struggling to hold it.

A crushing loss by the Bills. Poor play calls late, running plays that went nowhere and ate the clock. It was the Bills to lose, and they lost. Horrible time to choke on a pretty straight forward field goal.

KC falls to the Ravens...book it !!!!

Well the hype around Allen is that he has put them on the map and has brought them to the playoffs every year since Brady finally left the division, the hype is that they are a contender and a contender they have been.

I'm not a Bills fan but the empathetic side of me wishes they would get at least 1 and right now Allen gives them their best shot, take Allen away and they are probably not a playoff team let alone a contender

Manning and the Colts couldn't beat Brady and the Pats early on but eventually they did and Manning got his ring, I think it's very possible that the same type of scenario will eventually play out between Allen and Mahomes

As a fan I’ve been on the losing end of a rivalry similar to Chiefs-Bills.
In 3 straight years from 1976-78 the Yankees beat the Royals for the American League pennant. Then in 1980 KC finally beat them to advance and then lose to the Phillies in the World Series.
It’s tough to go through but Allen is in his prime and he could still get to multiple super bowls but the pressure will be building every year that he doesn’t lead the bills to the promised land.

I was quite a bit disappointed in the Bills fans behavior in this matter.

The accuracy of their throws was way off, hitting nothing but the ground. Eagles fans would have hit the target 9 outa 10 times. 😎

I tired of Mahomes too, but I would never throw a snowball at him. I am tired of the insurance ads and the rest of it. It makes me understand why the rest of the league hated Brady and the Patriots.

I'm not condoning it, of course not, but if the Bills fans are gonna do that, shouldn't they be doing it to their own field goal kicker who choked big time?

to keep this story fair and balanced, at the end of that game i saw a number of Chiefs waving bye-bye to Bills fans

and Mahomes was one of the players i saw

Yea I think if those Chiefs players would have thought it through, that taunting hissed off long suffering Bills fans with snow in the stadium, equates to snowballs being thrown at them, they might not have done it.

I think Allen and the Bills will eventually get that ring, all it takes is one season, put it all together for one season. They're a determined group, they'll get it right eventually. Say what you want about Josh Allen, but as a fan I'd rather watch him play than 95% of any of the other quarterbacks in the league, he's exciting. Win or lose, he's going to throw everything he's got at you, and he'll be remembered for that. As a boxing fan, those are the types that we remember the most fondly, and miss the most when they're gone, the guys that go out on their shield, balls to the wall, and that's Josh Allen.
