Already at 45 600$ with a little than over 2 days left. There estimates seem way off sometimes.

I guess it is hard to guess the market value on certain coins.

@bidask might be a good time to sell...
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
You got it only a couple of years ago, didn't you? Even so, it's likely to bring around double of what I think i remember you paying for it.

And all I can see on this piece is the high spot cabinet rub on the eagle jumping out in the middle of that darker-toned splotch. IDK, maybe that's a me problem??
I think sometimes these Hong Kong-based auctions can bring goofy results...
Nonetheless, it's been robust market for Hooknecks and Iturbide 8R - even dreck:

It benefits an auction house to post conservative estimates (as long as they're not TOO conservative), so average results that beat those estimates give the impression that the market is robust and the auction house can bring strong returns for consignments.
Still looking for a chopmarked Hookneck, seems unlikely one will turn up anytime soon.
Market value and what an ítem will close for at an auction are not the same thing are they?
I was trying to see how many bidders were pushing bids up but it seems Heritage does not show that information.

... and you can make an offer of $57k or more - to get it.
Guy who posts on Instagram bought it.

Glad he got it and that it didn’t go to Asia.
That was a fantastic coin and the price was reasonable. I was so tempted to bid.
There were 0 bids from the floor. Why did people think Hong Kong was the right venue for that coin?
