Are the Denver Broncos good now?

doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

What do you think, are the Broncos getting it fixed, or are they still so bad they would lose on a bye week?

Ignore this thread, don't know why I started it, no one is interested in the Broncos. Carry on.

This is a sore point with me right now. I was really enjoying making fun of them early in the season and then they beat the chiefs and bills. I don’t like the direction they’re going now. 😡 Also what was wrong with that josh guy coaching the raiders? They were pathetic and now showing signs of life. We need to nip this in the bud I’m telling you!
Well at least we have the chargers, out of the 3 stooges coaches that were in the afc west he is the only stooge left. Larry Staley.
As countdouglas says don’t worry about the chargers because, well they’re the chargers and they knock themselves out of contention all on their own. 🥳

Speak for yourself. I’m interested in the broncos. In fact I’m about to go back in time to 1982 and convince John Elway to play baseball instead of football. I will know if I was successful next month when I start a thread titled, ‘ who was better Boggs or Elway’ ? Hahaha it’s going to be great reading about you posters saying how overrated Elway was because he played for the Yankees!

FYI @darin when you quote someone there is a way to not include everything from their post. You can PM me if you want to talk about how.

I got rid rid of that picture. There is no need for that to be double-pressed into my mind like that. As you know, I'm already a bit... off my rocker

    Broncos fan here.

Three wins in a row to climb to 4 and 5 on the season is not enough to get me excited about the 2023 edition.

If they continue winning and get to 10 and 5 my interest will.be peaked as the playoffs would be possible. 12 and 5 may be good enough to win the division.

    Go Denver, :)

I’m pretty sure I’ll never want to PM anyone about the aforementioned topic but thanks for the offer.
As for the Taylor swift stuff I just ignore it, after 1 post about her it got old and really unfunny but it takes folks awhile to realize they’ve run it into the ground. This too will pass.
One thing that never gets old is the epic saga that is the patriots thread. Keep that thing going at all costs because that has major entertainment value. Pats fans hoping the losses keep piling up is much more than I could have ever hoped for.

Here's their remaining schedule, some tough games here, the Lions are a good team, the Texans are hot with CJ Stroud, and the Chargers always play you hard. The Vikings and Browns aren't pushovers either, the Broncos can't afford to lose games down the stretch, should be fun to watch!

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,633 ✭✭✭✭✭

I classify the Broncos as a team I wouldn't really want to play, they haveva tough Defense and the running game is starting to look formidable

Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are both right below the top tier receiving level, if Wilson can play solid football then watch out

Dark horse that could sneak into the playoff mix

    Dear Santa Claus 🎅
All we want for Christmas is for the Denver Broncos to beat the NE Patriots on Christmas Eve.

    Thank you

Russell Wilson will throw an interception on second and goal at the 1, and the Patriots will win.

Denver wins again 21-20 over the Vikings.

Now 5 and 5 in second place in the AFC West behind the 7 and 3 Chiefs.

That was one heck of a win last night, congrats, the Broncos showed a lot of heart.

    😄😄😄

It will be tough to challenge KC for the division but they are definitely doing a much better job than last year

I think Denver may just be "that team" that enters the post season white hot and makes a SB run. They seem to have the defense and the head coach to do it.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

  • thisistheshowthisistheshow Posts: 9,386 ✭✭✭✭✭

    They have started winning.

Last night they did what I always recommend...take points.

But they sure do struggle to score touchdowns. I wouldn't get too far ahead proclaiming them the hottest team.

now that the winning has started, i wonder if SP can start scheming some offense into the equation.

Courtland Sutton is a beast, Jerry Jeudy really hasn't done a whole lot but that might be Wilson's fault

Denver is now 2 games behind KC for first place in the AFC West.

    Interesting.

Denver will have it's hands full this coming weekend.

  • SanctionIISanctionII Posts: 12,117 ✭✭✭✭✭

Denver won again today, 29-12 over Cleveland and now is 6 and 5. The game was not as close as I expected it to be.

If Denver's winning streak continues it will be vying for a playoff berth. Who would have thought that when it was 1 and 5.

  • thisistheshowthisistheshow Posts: 9,386 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Very unexpected turnaround.

They hit rock bottom and rebooted.

I think Denver is a team to be reckoned with. I dont think it is a fluke

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Payton got a lot of flack for what he said about Hackett...of course look at what Hackett has done with the Jets after perhaps the worst coaching job in the 21st century with the Broncos last season.

Basically, Hackett looked like he knew what he was doing when Rodgers was his QB and has sucked everywhere else (though sometimes his offenses can run the ball).

As for the Broncos, how did a defense that gave up 70 to Miami and 31 to the Jets turn it around? The D is why they have been winning. Wilson has been playing almost error free football though he checks it down way too much for my tastes and doesn't have very much escapability anymore.

Payton had every right to say what he did.

    Hackett is an idiot

Hard to believe that Denver is now 1 game behind K.C. with 4 games left in the regular season. Since starting 1-5 Denver has gone 6-1.

K.C. has lost 2 in a row and is now 8-5.

Denver and Green Bay are 2 teams I'm high on making a legit playoff run.

Denver has a good defense and running game, and it seems like Courtland Sutton has matured into an elite WR, I like their chances to actually win the division same with Green Bay

The “big Lions” showed up last night instead of “the little kitties” which were in evidence on Thanksgiving. It’s hard to know which one you will get with that team.

Amen to that. One BIG difference is that Detroit had their full OL against Denver. That doesn't explain all the mess of the last few weeks but it's part of it.

With Denver losing last night I think that it most likely will miss the playoffs,............... again :(

  • SanctionIISanctionII Posts: 12,117 ✭✭✭✭✭

Denver and the Raiders were eliminated from the playoffs today.

They play each other next week in a meaningless game that will have no impact on the playoffs.

Maybe next year will be better for my favorite team.
