    Let me throw you a curve ball by posing a, gasp, Seated Liberty half. :o

    Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

    A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

    A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

    @Steven59 - I don't see a 55 like yours listed here. Check it out.

    I looked before and didn't see anything like it so I just thought it was a known variety that had progressed beyond the posted pictures.

    Not the best photos but I finally had the chance to snap a couple today.

    Todd wanted to see these cracks and clashes.

    Would a planchet flaw count?

    Looks like a little pmd on the lower reverse.

    Here is something different. Bar die crack through DOLLAR and a couple more die chips.

    Two different coins. Both 1921-Ps (different VAMs, though), but the planchet cracks are oddly in almost the identical location.

    When in doubt, don't.
