I wasn’t watching the early innings but the box score says Harper stole home
Details anyone? Was it during the pitch? Was the pitcher walking around not paying attention?

After Harper leveled the catcher he made sure he touched home plate first. Then hung around out of concern for the catchers well being. Thought that was considerate of Harper. At least that's the impression I got.

I was hoping i wouldn't have to bring out the heavy artillery unless it was game 7 of the World Series. But gotta do it now, or we may not get to the big show:

Yes, as you know, they still to this day talk about that 1964 collapse, and not just in Philly. It's discussed almost everywhere as one of the worst of all time.
Well the Phillies made an interesting run, but couldn’t close the deal. Coming back home and losing two straight, not exactly a 1964 type debacle, but this sure wasn't good.
Usual futile fillie outcome. We are used to it. Too many runs wasted in the first two games. Then the bats went to sleep at the end of the series.

I am surprised to see the Dodgers at #5 on the list. I would have thought that they would have been higher.

On a double steal, Harper slammed into the catcher as the ball went by.

Thanks Steven,
I wish I was watching when that happened.
Very nice win tonight for the Fightin’ Phillies.
Now coming back home, and only need to win one out of two. I’ll take those odds.
I’m counting another chicken. Do I hear an egg cracking with a 4th chicken about to come out? 🐔🐔🐔 🥚
Thanks Steve nice hustle play. Great win this evening. 👍
Congrats to the Phillies tonight!

You just have to hope Arizona does not "scramble" those eggs.
Ug - not going very well so far.
Looks like it's on to game 7.
Phillies must have been resting up tonight.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Very disappointing performance.
Hopefully game 7 will have a different result.

The WOAT? 😕
Phillies in the off season should study the meaning of getting a clutch hit.
These past two games have been pathetic. 😒
Put some Adderall in the Phillies water bottles and wake-up these hitters for crying out loud. 😒
Thought I was watching the Cleveland Guardians with their "no hits when needed" offense.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I'm not sure what the yell is going on out there. 😒
I finally noticed it, the D-back pitchers are throwing ping pong balls. 😒
Phillies bats laying down like lambs. 😒

Anyway, congrats to the Diamondbacks.
This thread is now officially abandoned.
Game, set, match Arizona is going to the World Series

Sorry, Phillies fans.
Congratulations, Diamondbacks fans.
Sorry Steve.
I liked Philly to win it

I gotta wonder if MLB making all these top players gazillionaires, breeds too much complacency.
Yes, players have been making "big money" for a long time now, but many of these contracts of today put players in the oil sheik category.
I am surprised to see the Dodgers at #5 on the list. I would have thought that they would have been higher.
Wanted the Phillies for a nice red white and blue World Series.
