1853 Liberty Seated Half Dollar Arrows & Rays

I posted this previously but the pictures weren’t that great of quality; as such, I am curious as to what this would grade.

The clip seems genuine. Blakesley effect on the opposite side.

That's a very interesting example! Thanks for posting.

It appears to be a real error and not PMD, but this is not my specialty.

Even if edge is mint caused, the cut through the stats looks like PMD to me. Hence AU sharpness, damaged.

Nice assortment of obverse die cracks.
If the coin is an error/straight grades - then 45 is my guess.
    Great coin with some 'spice'.

The clip is genuine, but I am not sure if that deep mark inside of the stars on the obverse is a strike through or damage. If it straight grades, I would expect something in the 40-45 range.

As I said before the clip is genuine. Nice Blakesley Effect.

I did not even notice the damage below the stars last time. Has to be PMD, but I have no idea what might have caused it.

Still do not think that slabbing it would help any.

As stated, it’s both a genuine clip, but damaged at 2 o’clock Below the stars

I think I ended up paying like $295 a few years back when a buddy of mine was getting rid of his collection…I knew I got it for a steal price so I’m not even concerned about grade necessarily - was more curious than anything to get opinions on it. Thanks for your input mate.
