I am still looking for a $5 Indian Gold piece that I hid years ago.
I dropped an 1844-D half eagle that slipped out of a loose coin book outside of a coin shop in the mid-1990's. Was about a $2,200 coin at the time. Someone else must have retrieved it.
A Barber Quartet is made up of Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves.
I found them all over. But the last large batch of currency I found on top of the cabinat in my bathroomI had tossed them in a bank bag up on top. I think I have everything now. I will take the advice of some members here and make a treasure map next time. Thanks for all your ideas. AC
Done that myself, many times, I'm 77 so relate totally. Every now and then I find something I forgot I hid. Found a gun the other day.... thought I must have given to my daughter but it was hiding in the kitchen...

Reminded me of this from Luke Chapter 15:
8] Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
[9] And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
I lost my glasses last week. My wife found them in the freezer yesterday!! 😂 🤣
Crazy … I turned 70 several days ago and could not find my eyeglasses either. My wife found them in our refrigerator yesterday!
I have my rare slabbed coins safely stored in my 14 different safe deposit boxes in three different banks. However, my bulky raw coins and obw and odw rolls of all denominations going back to 1934 were finally moved from my house to a private interior storage unit as I am possibly selling my house eventually.

Congratulations! Now you can relax until the next time you lose them!😂🤣
For the last 40 years I have vacationed in Maui near Lahaina as well in four weeks of prime time time share units. I stored my vacation clothes in a storage unit right near the Lahaina fires shared with a local friend.
However, i have been renting out my prime ocean front units for the past 4 years. Sad to read about the Maui fires.
Glad this had a happy ending. You should consider installing a safe

I know I'm not crazy. My mother had me tested! 😂 🤣

I had that feeling a little over a year ago and have now sold all my coins except about $300 in silver which is easily disposed of and have not missed having in around anymore. I do watch the forum to see what is going on though.

Buy a safe anyway to confuse the thieves.
