This was the final Lincoln cent I needed to complete the cent albums I started as a child. I always kept my eye out for a decent example over the years, but never pulled the trigger until this past spring purchasing it from L&C. I'm glad I did, even though it's "off the beaten path" for me. Sometimes those excursions into a series that aren't part of my primary collection are what keeps collecting coins fresh for me. Thanks for starting this thread; I wish there were more like this and fewer rants around here.
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

I have no luck finding an 1861-C half eagle. Zero. Congratulations!
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Bought this one at a recent Stacks auction. No rhyme or reason other than one of my collecting goals is to own at least one coin from as many countries as possible, this one being my first from Belgium.

I wanted a DBQ, I just liked the appearance, and it's history, without regard to grade

I purchased this in an old ANACS MS64 that had a sticker “breen 5560”. It was purchased for $120 on eBay. It’s now a Top Pop at NGC.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/05/91dufd7yez8l.jpeg)
