This project aims to encourage correspondence between members and play.
Sign up to receive and send forward a Whitman 9004 around the country and fill it with Lincoln cents that you don’t love because of their condition; your damaged, cleaned, worn orphans from as many forum members and states as possible. Singularly these coins are unremarkable, Let’s put them together and create something different.
I urge you to participate. Please post dubious remarks in the thread that announces the project that I posted earlier “Proposal for a forum project”. This thread is for volunteers to post the photos and members’ to post their wit.
Edit: Oct 23— James Zykoski added the first coin to the folder a few days before he died. We decided to give the folder to his grandson whom James introduced to collecting coins. Sign up to one of the last dozen pockets.

I added the 2019 W in the 1909 S VDB pock as a small consolation for the person who fulls that slot with the SVDB.

I have added the 1914,1915D,and the 1925S all 3 of these coins I have pulled out of the ground with my metal detector at a few local parks. WS it will be on its way to you starting tomorrow I will PM you photo of tracking number
Same here. Looking forward to receiving the album. Considering picking up a slabbed Lincoln at the ANA and breaking it out just to put a nice shiny one in there. I've got a couple thousand circ. wheats already but I thought a MS Lincoln would be nice.

I cursed Spectrum, Moderator, the guy who blocks me, and rogue bots for the hell through which I put myself the last two nights getting this page up. A Question: Why did you decide on the folder rather than a Whitman classic album? In the folder the coins are relatively unprotected and can fall out, additionally, once the 09-S VDB is populated no one will be able to tell that it is an 09-S VDB since only one side will be visible.

I did not think of much about it since that one was here. If I had I would have thought that it was too good for the quality of coins going in. Falling out did not occur to me. Shipping costs did matter; the Whitman may cost double.
SVDB orientation? I hope that that is a problem that we get to solve. Put it in backwards?
I have an ideal finish for it, but this is not mine, I’ll never see it again. This belongs to the people. I hope that it generates some chuckles among us. I do enjoy our correspondence. Start scheming for semi-keys, I have.
