Vermont has been my favorite since the 80's. Oregon trail is great, but Vermont is a one year thats tougher to find. Post a favorite of yours.
This one is not in my hands yet, but should be very soon. Its also will be my first coin that has a CAC. CAC was not in existence when I acquired 95 percent of my collection.

@dcarr Nice looking even if the toning is artificial. I picked up an Oregon at the Bay State coin show last Friday.

Not the best pictures but you get the idea.

My favorite (and only) classic gold commem—love the font, the dolphins, and the vibrant color on this example.

My favorite classic silver commem—love the ship, the bust of Lord Farquaad, the color and CAC-approval.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Commems and Early Type
@PocketChange There were a few nice Pan Pac dollars at the show. I thought about getting one, but passed.

Love all the images posted so far!
I'm really only a big fan of the Pan-Pac commemoratives and the only 2 commems that I have are this Gold $1 and a Pan-Pac half dollar I don't have an image for.

Not my coin, but this is my favorite classic commem. I've owned two in previous years.
Not mine, but I like the design.

Coin Photographer.
The only one I have, given to me back in the late '70 from a family friend:
USAF (Ret.) 1985 - 2005. E-4B Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief and Contracting Officer.
My current Registry sets:
✓ Everyman Mint State Carson City Morgan Dollars (1878 – 1893)
✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)
I stood on the banks of the river, camera and coin in hand and took this picture of Burnside's Bridge, which was the last phase of the Battle of Antietam.
The tree on the left is the last survivor of the battle. Obviously artist William Marks Simpson reversed things when he designed the coin.
Seated Dollar Collection
I don't own one so I'll just post one of the Coinfacts coins. Definitely my favorite commem design.
Lots of beautiful commemoratives posted so far.

This is probably my favorite modern commem.
Lots of quality commemoratives here.... I do not have any tarnished ones. I collected the commemoratives from the nine states I lived in... One state did not have a commemorative, so I got a state token. Cheers, RickO

I think it depends on the year. Mexico produced them as bullion and commemorative coins. I was just looking for an excuse to post a picture.
How about a modern that most people do not know about: (does this reverse look familiar?):
Here is the obverse:

One of the best modern designs.
I already posted my favorite, the Lafayette Dollar, so might as well round it out with my top 5 favorites![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
Disclaimer again, I don't own any examples of these coins so the pics are from Coinfacts...
