came out of hibernation and put together -- i believe -- my best ⚾️ score ever: 8
final square was T/L and i wasn't going to blow it up with Frank Thomas or Robbie Alomar. i remember Sierra having a short stint with the Sox, and was fairly confident that he had one with the Jays as well. dude played for about 10 teams when the dust settled, so i liked my chances. i covered my eyes and it hit.
Vada Pinson, great pick Groce! I have his rookie card in my 58 set!
hey Landry...
Show some flannel on your Vada....
Funny you mention flannel Groce, my father-in-law thinks I work outside in the Arctic, so every year come Christmas I get some heavy sweater, jacket, you name it from him! So as per course this past Christmas I got this awesome flannel shirt from him. First thing I thought of was you! lol. It's totally useless to me here in south Florida. As for my Vada I will have to go dig in the safe for it, flannel less Vada soon to come!
I knew Josh Gibson would kill my score but I don’t know the Negro Leagues players very well and he’s the only catcher I could think of. I wasn’t sure about Doby. I knew he came up as an infielder before switching to outfield permanently. I was just reading about Roger Bresnahan and John McGraw the other day so they were fresh in my mind.
I figured Minnie Minoso would have played second at some point, but I looked after I guessed wrong and he played like every other position except pitcher and catcher except second base. I was reading about Heinie last night and that’s a name you don’t forget.
Only One Team is such a hard category. Specs Toporcer had an interview in the book I’m reading. He lost sight in one eye and went to a quack doctor who made him blind in both eyes!

I totally agree about the only one team category, it doesn't make for a good score usually but on those I just try to think of any recent rookies the team currently has.

Tried Danny Tartabull for the middle square first. I went with someone other than Rocky for Cleveland HRs. Luke Easter was a power hitter who didn’t play in the majors until he was 33, and then tore the cover off the ball for a few years until he fell apart.
I had to cheat, and use the power of the world wide web....
I knew Danny and the dune buggy part... wasn't ever close with Thomas...
Daniel Vincent "Danny" Frisella (March 4, 1946 – January 1, 1977) was an American Major League Baseball pitcher whose career was cut short when he was killed in a dune buggy accident on New Year's Day in 1977.
The Negro League rules in this game confuse me since I’m not sure they're asking for guys who played there as well as the majors, or if they’re considering the Negro League as majors too.

Rough one today Groce. Need to brush up on the Brewers.
Left some points on the board by using Waner where I did instead of the MVP spot
gimme another hour or 2....I'm a little behind schedule....
Wasn’t 100% sure about Shawn Green, but knew the other draft picks
Figured I'd venture into a football grid today.
it's been a minute since i've tackled a grid

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
not quite as successful with 🏈
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
and not a great score with 🏀, but completed

Great job Galaxy!
Nice picks Groce. I was surprised at how few Reds hit 200 a year considering how long they’ve been around. Had to think of someone other than Rose.
I thought about going with the Big Klu, then picked George....Vada is kind of like one of my utility guys on the grids...
Vada Pinson, great pick Groce! I have his rookie card in my 58 set!
surprised that Brooks Robinson didn't have a 200+ season
and good ol' Jerome Walton -- ROY, then didn't do squat the rest of his career

Here you go Groce. No flannel but taken in the shadow of the great Roger Staubach! Enjoy.
The big unit killed my score
when i saw an opportunity to use 90s Expos players i just knew i was going to win today lol
groce went LOW!
score: 9

Willie Wilson was the wrong choice today!
I'm not thinking today...

Hienie's on south side Chicago...
Tough day due to Saves. Tommy Bond was one of the best pitchers of the 1870s but didn’t play very long, which I guess is why he isn’t in the hall.

like: Muson, Steve Macko,...um guy on the Brewers....let me think....
I wanna say Danny Thomas...I think...I know there was a dune buggy accident ...

Reds Indians= Vada Pinson Buddy Bell, Bo Diaz....
and that goofy W.A.R. and I'm lost on that fish team too...

Score 15 using mostly the same old names.

I'm all rusty here....I almost forgot on what I'm doing...
