Question: Morgan & Peace Dollar 2023 "Reverse Proof Set" and "Proof".

Hi, I have a question about the Morgan & Peace Dollar 2023 "Reverse Proof Set" and "Proof".
I understand that the U.S., mint will keep making "uncirculated Morgan & Peace Dollar" every year, but will it also keep making "Reverse Proof Set" and "Proof" every year or those are only minted for 2023?
Thanks.

If you look at Silver Eagles as an example reverse proof and enhanced reverse proofs have been struck so many times that I’ve lost count. I’m sure if the Peace/Morgan series continues long enough the mint will make multiple years with proof and reverse proofs maybe throw in some extra ugly enhanced versions. (I am looking forward to the buying the proofs)

I agree with some of this but sorry the 2013 enhanced uncirculated ase is one of the most beautiful coins in hand. It’s absolutely amazing. Stunning 🤩. Thanks 🙏

I wish they would make the surface finish of the uncirculated examples more like the originals. The 2021 examples have a sort of matte finish and they don’t have the frosty cartwheel effects of a 1920s Peace dollar / or even the 1921 Morgan)

But that said I am looking forward to the 2023 proof examples! I’m sure those will look really nice.

This is because the originals were meant for circulation and these are not. If they ever make a bullion version of these, I'm sure you will get your wish, as with the ASEs.

mint bullion products historically are also offered in a proof version. Reverse proofs are selectively issued, not very often.

Haven't seen any notice that the Peace and/or Morgan will be an annual issue. It is possible that sometime in the future they could be chosen to replace the silver eagle.

If they do continue these coins look for a burnished "W" collector version to appear at some point.

I would like to buy “a normal Proof Peace Dollar” as a type coin for the design, but I have no interest in the reverse Proof. As I have said before, I think they are ugly.

I just hope that the mint makes enough normal Proof Peace dollars to satisfy the demand. Paying the flippers a big premium for them will galling.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Not sure they will do any of those 'every year', unless it proves lucrative. Seems such minting's have a short run. Cheers, RickO
