Coronet Matron Head Copper Token of Some Kind? Any information?

Found this in a group of large cents. I tried doing some research but couldn't find anything. The reverse is too worn for me to make out any lettering. Any information helps.

Yup. Looks like one of the Bucklin's Interest Tables HTTs.

Yup, definitely that. Don't know off-hand if it's a rare or common variety, but IMO all those crude Troy, NY-area HTT's qualify as cool.

All I can make out for sure is 'Marbles'... Should be enough to research in a HTT reference book. Cheers, RickO

The Bucklin’s Hard Times tokens were very poorly struck and wore down very quickly. The OP piece is below average, but it is very hard this token nice. I think Bucklin’s issued a couple of varieties.

Looks like HT-349. It’s an R5, but in reality not quite that uncommon, especially in low grades. In AG like this probably a $75 token give or take.

  • Thank you all very much! You are all very helpful. That price guide shows an unusually large jump from G to VG.

Obviously this token would barely even meet the AG category though.
