Need some help in grading this Peace dollar UPDATED
![WAYNEAS](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/userpics/345/nIFSBSB02BZCY.jpg)
I am not at all able to try and grade this coin in a raw state.
In all GTG posts, I never fair well.
A friend of mine asked me to help him establish a value.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.
It has a beautiful toning and is very sharp in detail.
I do not have any history on it but believe that it came out of an album.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like it could range from Au58 - MS61. Hard to judge luster from photos. Common date so approx $40-$55.
AU55 with what appears to be active PVC residue between the I and B in LIBERTY
Looks nice, probably not worth that much though, and you should do something about the gunk between I and B in "liberty."

I don’t see any rub on this coin to be honest. What I do see is a very dirty coin that I would at least give an acetone bath and see if that helps getting the gunk off it. Good luck.
Looks 62-63 to me.
55 all day everyday

As this coin belongs to another party, I can only recommend the acetone bath. I am in total agreement that this should be done.
It is definitely dirty and has PVC as mentioned by

I too do not see any rub on this coin.
Thanks to all for your comments.

MS61 if gradeable
The halos around "in god we" speaks to field friction over 50% of the surfaces. PVC + chatter speak to negative eye appeal while the luster is above avg. The contrast isn't the best in the photo but look at the cheek and then in front of the Eye. The cheek came out of the mint looking like the recess Infront of the eye. It doesn't look like that now.
Wear of 58
luster of 55+
surfaces of 55
Eye appeal C-
= 55

That’s a pretty dirty/funky coin. Maybe it’s pixelation, but that coin has a lot of chatter everywhere. 53-55
Yeah, common-date, middle-AU-something. Value is $35 or so.
MS 61
Hard to say from those pics. Acetone bath definitely needed and I would say no higher than a 62.

Yes on my bad pics. I just can not take a great pic with my iPhone.
Acetone is on the way.

I thought , when you asked for help grading, it was like a go-fund me thread for submission fees![:open_mouth: :open_mouth:](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/open_mouth.png)

I say $30-35
Looks like an AU55 or 58.... Perhaps the acetone bath will improve the appearance... Post some pictures after the rinse... Cheers, RickO
58
60.
Here is the coin prior to the dip.

Here is the coin after an acetone dip.
The PVC is gone. I hope it stays that way.

Coin looks like a 55.
As others have said not worth the expense of getting it graded. I say 61 62 if it grades
