Sorry, lost my cat Karl after 16 years. I feel for you, as it is truly a loss. Here's a spotted coin that was beautiful at one stage but I let it go too long and it ruined.

Sorry to hear about Spot. She was a great looking cat. Sounds as though she had a good life.

Tonedeaf is a nickname given to me in reference to my guitar playing ability.

It will take the new cat time to get adjusted but during that time he/she will keep you busy and happy to have someone to take care of. Don't let your house become empty for to long it is not good for the mind or soul.

Now if this was a divorce or a break up I would suggest the opposite take time for yourself. But some lucky cat is just waiting for someone like you believe me!!!

I had to put my friend down last summer and it hurt bad but the same evening I got my new cat let me tell you I love him and he is just awesome!!! I just could not imagine an empty house like I said it is pain you can avoid.

Make sure you clean everything 1st then throw out the old stuff and buy new ones. The new cat will most likely hide for a while just let him do his thing. Best to leave the house for a few hours let him walk around and adjust to the sounds and environment. Make sure you protect all the wires in your home. And when cooking keep a pot with water in it to make sure when the oven is on that the element that gets heat is covered every time you use the oven so the cat does not burn his paws. Buy a new litter box and cat dishes as well. And get new toys so he/she feels it is his home. Clean the cat transport cage as well.

I know all this sounds crazy to you as it did to me but it actually works.

    Sorry for you loss.
I have had cats all my life and every time I lose one another one shows up to be my friend.
I currently have the one pictured and feed 6 others that have found their way to my door.

Very sorry for your loss. As indicated by many, pets are family - they hurt you once, when they leave. Lost our two dogs last year. Still have two cats, one of which is 14 years old now. Looking for a dog.... Cheers, RickO

    Sorry for your loss!

A coin club member who with his wife lost their cat were devastated. I sent him a pet condolence sympathy card which he was very grateful for.
