When it gets down to Poor-01, it might be worth that to the “lowest graded in existence” collectors, but there are a lot of steps to be taken before you will reach that.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
You see this a lot on eBay, a seller hoping that there is that one gullible person out there
who doesn’t know any better. As they say, it only takes one. Also money launderers will also
use overpriced coins as a means of transferring cash.
Unless the asking price is over $2500.00, eBay will not remove it.
Weird... Further evidence that the non-numismatically informed far outnumber those in the hobby. Predators know this, and thrive on the unknowing. Cheers, RickO
