Bad coin and slab- cert has good images and a past auction listed.
This one has gone "international" with another seller listed in Germany.
Having 2 examples to review aids in identifying common "attribution" marks:

That's some scary crap right there! Thanks for posting and reminding us to check and double check everything.

My current Registry sets:
✓ Everyman Mint State Carson City Morgan Dollars (1878 – 1893)
✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)
Another great catch, your efforts are much appreciated.
Hopefully PCGS will deactivate the cert number for that one.
I just do not understand this de-activate the cert numbers. Someone recently purchased the real coin per the auction. Now PCGS is to de-activate the cert number so that this owner now has a problem. Sure PCGS may pay shipping and reholder with new cert and ship back. But then there is the CAC issue on this one and sometimes older holder that one might want to keep or other. I don't think it is good for PCGS to be putting customers of their slabs into this problem. There may bar tens of thousand of fake PCGS cert numbers and still going.
The cert number page could come up with a pop up box that denotes the known counterfeit slabs. Click the box to close and then still have a warning on the cert page. But keep the cert active for the real owner. Now if the real owner volunteers to send the slab in (paid) for a reholder with new cert then okay. I know I don't want to be sending in many of mine due to risk associated with shipping 2 ways and then also on many I want to keep the holder gen it is in.

The lettering of both the coins and the PCGS labels is a giveaway.
The $1 on the label of the fake suggests poor quality control by the faker!
And of course any experienced buyer can see the fake is not an MS-64.
Thread title is good now.
They went through all that trouble to counterfit this coin and or holder and then put $1 on the insert instead of 50C

This just keeps getting worse ... Although we bring these to the attention of forum members, there are so many out there who are not members, and who have varying levels of knowledge - many at beginner levels, that will lose their money to these grifters. Cheers, RickO
I hadn't realized the German seller actually listed it as counterfeit...
Silbermünze PCGS MS 64+ 50 cent 1833 Plagiat #374553611354
Silver coin PCGS MS 64+ 50 cents 1833 counterfeit #374553611354
German seller also has Stone Mountains...
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
We are taking the necessary steps to deactivate the cert.
Thanks for the response; it is unfortunate these continue to plague the Hobby...
When I see photos of fakes like this it seems that the grade is the hardest to counterfeit. But they also miss easy parts like the denomination.
