I picked this up recently as I'm attempting to put together a set of Peace Dollars. What do you think? I will attempt to post the grade later today.
Here is the coin. A few mentioned about the lighting. The marks are definitely more apparent in the pictures I posted. I wasn't trying to hide anything. Most were spot on or 1 grade off. Thanks.

MS64. It's hard to find these with good eye appeal, I'm assuming it has good luster, very hard to tell.
To me it has the overall appearance of a 63, but i'm not sure if it gets knocked down one because of the neck scrape.

I would say MS62.... Might be a 63 in hand, but looks like 62 to me. Cheers, RickO
Nice! I like the strong obverse strike (hair and facial features). Is it the light or does her lips on this coin look way more puckery than most? Unfortunately there's too much chatter in the obverse fields and cheek marks.
With everything she's got going for her, I'd guess 62. She's definitely a keeper.

Well struck.

The strike is really nice, but the obverse hits are numerous. My gut says MS62.

I think it’s a low-end MS63. Lots of abrasions on the obverse hold it back. The strike is excellent, though, and I’m sure the luster is as well.

I love it and think it has great skin and that the angle of the light is accentuating the hits and luster grazes on the coin. I am the outlier, apparently, on this coin and would guess MS63.

I'm guessing 62.

I'm with 62+. Lots of marks but appears to have extremely good luster if I am interpreting the pictures correctly.

Put me in as a 62+ (with a real shot at 63) ... the plus because of the nice original frost and the strong luster and the wonderful strike.

My first instinct was 62 but I think it could also be the photograph causing it to look more marked up than it really is.
If that is the case it could easily be a 63.

Nice strike!!
I don't like the mess in the field in front of the mouth. Lots of scratches in small area. 61/2 if it straight grades.

Did it get a problem free grade?
Nice coin. I wanted to respond to the “Post an original coin” thread but the hardest part is getting a picture that’s representative of the coin. A graded set of peace dollars may sound easy but it’s not.
I like the older holder too. Here’s my 1927 in 64 with a bad pic
cool gtg!
I felt this was not a lowly example, assumed the neck and cheek chatter looked much worse.
Great reverse! The obverse is a little bit chattery for me - but common on the D mints for some reason…
And welcome to the peace series! My favorite - I have all P in 64 or above - no toning I collect them blast white as possible - have most S mints (no not the 34S - sheesh!) but very few D - they are hard to find like I prefer them, 64 above and little to no toning
Nice coin!!
Your first pix make the coin look overgraded by a point or two.
But, the slab shot looks much better (abrasions aren't as prominent).

I like it as an average 63.
Tough coin to find especially nice, especially with frosty surfaces like this one. The reverse is easily 64 quality.
Nice coin!
