At This Point All I Want Are My Coins Back.

3001 post I made it.

My coins went in for grading 10/27/2022 and were done on Feb 7th as my credit card was charged. They got one Variety wrong and I tried to convince them and our host just does not like being told there wrong. After spending 2 days trying to convince them they told me to resubmit and I told them to ship my coins back. Again my card was charged on Feb 7th

So 37 days later and my coins are still sitting there done. I sent email last week asking why the delay if there done? I was told that shipping is a different department and they will ship when ready. She told me that she would let them know. So you charge my card 37 days ago and I am still waiting? My gosh all the threads on heritage and the folks going crazy because it takes 2 to 3 weeks for shipping.

I think compared to our HOST there doing a GREAT job. Again All I want is my coins back. Am I being unreasonable? I now understand why some members crash and burn on there way out. Charge me 8 bucks to get the variety wrong and than delay shipping my coins back? One thing is for sure after this coin goes to James Wiles for the letter you are going to eat crow.

Seem to be a lot of issues lately with grading times etc.. Looks like processing became an issue during the Covid period. Two things cited, lack of staff and increased submissions. Hope things smooth out soon. Most businesses are returning to normal.. except for restaurants. Cheers, RickO

Does anyone know why the recent significant delays with pcgs orders? Tough to use the “show” excuse because it’s been submissions only in Phoenix and Baltimore this week, and the LV show in Feb was extremely slow. Did a large percentage of pcgs employees quit at the same time?

Well, there is a competitor starting a new grading service. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were some labor issues.

You need to escalate this. I dropped off 6 submissions at the Money show in Phoenix and by the end of the next week they were all showing up in my orders page.

Rooting for CAC to grab this opportunity and right this ship. As is, i would never send a coin for grading right now, will only buy coins already slabbed or which will remain raw.

This is not an encouraging sign. As many here know, I sent a submission to the Santa Ana address on the form and after it was delivered there it never made it to Long Beach. Like You I assumed they were just behind. It was never posted as received, has never been graded or returned and PCGS refuses to engage with me in any way.
Don't assume anything. Time to make some hay.

WOW, scary stuff!! This is why I am not in a hurry to have any of my coins regraded. I sure hope that everything works out positively for the afflicted parties in this thread.

Just my opinion of course. But i would like to see our hosts discontinue on-site grading at shows until they have caught up with orders that are languishing at their office. Why take graders out of town to make a few extra bucks when they have more business than they can handle at home?

Graders haven’t left the office since Orlando in January, and before that Baltimore in October. Show grading shouldn’t be the cause of this bottleneck. Now if pcgs employees quit and moved over to the CAC grading company, that could explain things but I don’t know that to be true.

Who thought this thread would be a good idea? :#

It will get shut down for sure. The only question is whether or not there will be other casualties.

The 1952 d is the DDO 101 featured in this thread. It's the same coin and they know it.

So having 10 threads about Heritage shipping being slow is okay but this one is not?

Yes I would be on the phone this morning asking them. I had two coins stolen at the Anaheim Post office a few years back going to our host. They caught the guy but never found my coins.

Yep. It's in the rules of the forum.

You will not post any Submission that (a) is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or an invasion of a right of privacy of another person; (b) bigoted, hateful, or racially or otherwise offensive; (c) is violent, vulgar, obscene, pornographic or otherwise sexually explicit; or (d) otherwise harms or can reasonably be expected to harm any person or entity

To my way of thinking PCGS is way, way too lenient with members about this rule, this thread being good evidence of that. It's one thing to ask about return times and such but an entirely different thing to "rag" on our host openly. With warnings, there'd be quite a few members behind bars.

Perhaps so, but I wonder how each of us, here, would feel about that "leniency' if we were in the position of the OP?
