My best eBay buy!!! Turns out it’s not!!!

I jumped the gun on this one being uneducated on VAMs and whatnot. Still have fun with it though and gained some knowledge on the way. Besides, spend my $ it while I have it. It’s not going to the grave with me. Might as well as enjoy myself.

Congrats but I wouldn’t be making a post like this until the coin is in my hand.

This scene comes to mind trying to picture the seller reading this post prior to actual receipt of the coin…

Hopefully not. I requested express shipping at my cost if available.

LOL, I think most of us know your excitement but have learned to maintain until in-hand. Buon chance!

At this point, I'm just hoping it's not the best sale the seller ever made!! 😂 🤣

Best to keep silent till it arrives in hand like others have said here.

If you think you got something really good, it is best not to let the seller know. Sometimes they can not find item or it gets lost in the mail.

I can not even count the times I thought I won something special only to discover I interpreted the pictures wrong.

I just found the seller and offered him more and now he is shipping me the coin.

Look for a cancellation in your inbox.

Why up your blood pressure just wait till said item arrives then announce it.

Yeah learned from many others on here, don't share unless you physically have the item in hand.

Oh well, live and learn. It’s my daughters anyway. She has one in the same spot from a cat. She will like it regardless.

Back in the day, if you knew someone's ebay username then you could easily see what they won or purchased.

I remember being able to email other bidders too. If I really didn’t want a coin after all I’d just email the next lowest bidder and tell them my max.

I learned something as well so I’m glad you posted the thread. There was someone last month that paid $5k on eBay for a ms63 early die state so things could have been worse. The seller still has one more at $38k obo for sale.

I can't even count the times I thought I had cherrypicked a rare variety from pictures only to discover I was wrong. Do not feel bad.

If you haven't the patience to wait til the coin is in your hand before you start a thread, one of these days you are going to be very very disappointed.

Little known fact: everyone here won't mind if you wait.

    Have a nice day
