US Mint price history

BeeManBeeMan Posts: 363 ✭✭✭

Is there any place that I can find original pricing for mint products? Specifically proof 1/10 ounce gold eagles from 1995-2000. My computer crashed a couple of years ago and I was unable to restore my Collectors Assistant software. I closed the credit card that I used in Quicken and cannot view the data anymore. Thanks.

If you want to learn about Proof set issue prices, it's in "The Red Book." So far as gold goes, I can't tell you.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Oh my. Wish I was around then. Oh, I was 😂😂
My mind was somewhere else. I remember. The mortgage, kids, food. Yup, I wouldn’t change anything except that I wish I had re-entered the collecting hobby earlier. 😁
Some of my ideas of fun were expensive enough 😂

    Actually, they were double melt.

Exactly, that's why the Mint couldn't sell 45,000 of the 10th Anniversary Eagle Sets.

Thanks for the mention, Bill. Im only helpful with pre-33’ gold pricing and current market values, I never really got involved with modern mint issues. Looks like @MetroD was able to help

@jmlanzaf ... However, if purchased then, and still in possession... Yep... good buy, good sell now. Cheers, RickO

Not really. You could have bought twice as much gold if you bought it in a different form. So, you would only have half as much gold in your possession now. So, bad buy then...if you were looking for bullion.

    I can remember buying 1/10 oz/ gold for around $ 38.00 somewhere around 2000 - 2001
