DD's 1000th Post Giveaway - Winners Announced

Ive been a member of this forum for about a year and a half now, and this is my 1000th post. In such a short time I have absorbed so much information and knowledge, thanks to all of the other contributing members here, even those I disagree with at times. A lot of the experience that is shared here is a result of decades of numismatic study, thousands of coins being handled, and hundreds of hours spent reading books and other publications. Those of you who share your knowledge so freely have made it much easier for the novices of today to get a grasp on the inner workings of the hobby, and to make better decisions buying and collecting coins. I am extremely grateful to be a member here, and I have no idea what my path in the hobby would have looked like if I had never created an account and started taking advantage of the wealth of information that was offered. I've met some great people here along the way, and most importantly, I've had a blast. I thought this would be a great way for me to give back to the community which has so freely given to me.

I got this idea for a giveaway a few weeks ago, thanks to Noah from Numismattack Trading. I told him I was going after the 1878 $3 in the HA Long Beach auction, and Noah graciously offered to view the coin in person for me, and take a video of it. Though he didn't request anything in return, I told him that if it resulted in my purchase of the coin I would throw him a bone. Well, I bought the coin and I sent Noah a message asking for his payment info. Noah honorably declined, and suggested that I donate to a charity in his name. I then proposed that I do a giveaway on the forum, and he thought it was a great idea. I used the funds I was going to pay him to buy a coin out of his inventory, and Im pretty sure he gave it to me at cost. I then found one more coin to offer in addition that I purchased from another dealer online.

Below are the two three coins being offered, and I would like to see both of them find a home in a collection where they are appreciated. Whether it's a member of this forum who's just starting out, someone who may not have the means to buy many graded coins, or even a YN that someone knows who doesn't participate on the forum, my only wish is that they find a good home and are not resold for profit. I will limit to 1 entry per forum member, and if you'd like to enter for someone who's not a member here, please notate who you are entering for in your comment. Also, please note if your comment is not an entry to the giveaway. The time to enter ends next Sunday at the same time that this post is made, at which point I will write the name of each forum member on a paper and draw them out of a hat. The first name I draw will win the Morgan, and the second name wins the Walker, and the third name wins the Morgan Rattler. Good luck to all who enter!

Edit/Update!!! - Literally, a few minutes after I posted this, I realized I have 3 coins to give away. I was trying to get a 3rd coin a few days ago and bid in an auction in a Facebook group. I thought I was the high bidder, but had heard nothing from the seller so I assumed I didn't get my bid in time. The seller just updated the auction that I won, so hopefully I receive the 3rd coin sometime this week and have it in hand to ship by Monday. Picture below

What an awesome giveaway. I have kept every coin i have gotten in giveaways on the forum. They are treasured more than my more valuable ones. Haven't bought any coins in a year because I've been buried in medical bills. I have sold some coins to help with that, but not any from the giveaways.
