U.S. Mint Wait Room

I just received the email from the Mint describing it's 'Wait Room' process for high demand items at release time. Very interesting. I am sure many others here will get the same email. If not, let me know and I will forward a copy. Cheers, RickO

Why is this coin a high demand, server-crashing item in the first place? An ASE at 4 times spot? Should be a mint to demand coin like it used to be.
I got the same email. The claim to randomly let people out of the waiting room to buy would be great for ticket master. Then when they let their preferred ticket agencies and resellers get served first they would have an excuse as to why the tens of thousands of people in line could not get in. They were randomly put at the end of the line.

We'll just have to wait and see.
My Questions are: 1) is their chair more comfortable than mine, 2) do they provide food and drink, 3) is music (NOT RAP) provided,& the most important is 4) will they take my dog out to his job or can he do it there?

It's available for subscription; why would there be a huge demand on that day?
I thought when I got sent to a “Time Out” I was put in a “Waitroom”?

If anyone has experienced a "Waiting Room" for tickets before, it's going to be a sh*%Uow!
Having waited for Ryder Cup tickets, concerts, etc in waiting rooms and you could be there 4 hours later, waiting to complete your purchase! Or even worse, find out after 4 hours of waiting, when it was your turn, the website crashes, does not respond after putting you in the queue or find out everything is sold out.
Now the bots are just going to fire up 500,000 to 5,000,000 virtual computers to take the majority of the waiting spots.
OMG, this the worst possibly solution they could have done for the high demand coins.
I'm having flashbacks of the Obamacare website rollout - why am I not surprised...

Not the congratulations set. That’s the important issue. And it’s not available for enrollment.
They are referring to regular W & S proofs as if they need this service but that’s just hot air. As I said the congratulations set , at 40,000, may go quickly but I doubt it.
Absolutely agree that if you need the standard proofs the enrollment is the best way. 🤢. Covid James 😁
