Yeah. I can see how the tab might add fuel to the fire...
So since I now have 6 people I want to ignore does that mean I have to tap out and move on with my life? 😂🤣

There must be a reason why the number is set at 5🤔

I've never put anyone on ignore. I think the limit was set at 5 because if you need to put more than 5 forum members on ignore, perhaps it's time to look for a new coin chatroom. Can we get a list of those who you have on ignore?

Exactly. That is the point. Life is to short to waste time on these 6 people. Seriously considering moving on.🤔

These 6 people shall remain nameless. They are the type of individuals that would claim it as an honor not as a wakeup call that their behavior is childish and rude.🙄

We had one of those and several members couldn’t handle it. 🤣. PCGS removed it rather than listen to whining about it.

It was abused. We had a troll come in and start issuing literally thousands of disagrees. He was actually going back and disagreeing with years old posts - there was a total disagrees on the dashboard where you currently see likes and LOLs. That led to disagree wars and, eventually,
    complaints and PCGS removed it.

Meh. I'm on Freddie's ignore list. I also have been defending him all weekend. All of it is unnecessary and useless drama.

The troll, definitely. There were some long time members who got caught up in it. I think they are still around.

IIRC most of the members didn't really care about the dislikes. A lot of people laughed it off. But enough people complained that PCGS decided to get rid of it. [That's when the derisive LOL was born. ] I sometimes wonder if this whole forum might some time not be worth the aggravation to them.

Yep, there was such an option.... was abused and eliminated. I do not use the ignore option, nor did I use the disagree option. I just move along or do not open some posts. Seems easy to me.... Cheers, RickO

    Add a "disagree" button? NO!!

We had one previously and it caused nothing but problems. It also served no real purpose.

"Like" or "agree" means just that. If you disagree, you should explain your reason in order to give alternate information or perspective.

I remember the DISAGREE button. That did lead to many arguments....the moderators decided to try keeping everything positive with AGREELIKELOL buttons instead. If you disagree with someone, you actually just ignored them or had to respond by typing DISAGREE manually!!!!

Not sure if that is a good thing but if it works for you that is all that matters.😎

In my opinion more people need to stand up to the bullies especially when they are picking on newbies. Being silent gives them power they don't deserve. 😤

This is often how confrontations on the forum start.

If you feel a newbie is being unfairly attacked you can just offer a few words of support. But "standing up to the bullies" is like feeding a troll, and in many cases that's all the bully is anyway.

Furthermore, on a few occasions the person claiming to be standing up to the bullies is in fact himself acting like a bully. (I am not referring to anyone in these recent threads).

I recall the great Insider was a big proponent of having to give a reason for why one disagreed with a post. It was and still is a good idea.

Freddie you’re over complicating this pal, it’s not that serious. We’ll all move on with our lives after the vaultbox threads. As others have said you can ignore someone without an ignore feature. Life is too short to let a forum disagreement bother you.

If that's truly your goal, the use of a dislike or thumbs-down option wouldn't be nearly as effective as posting a sensible, polite reply.

I have already agreed that the dislike button just adds fuel to the fire but I have also experienced that posting a sensible polite reply is not effective unfortunately 😂🤣

Dan not complicated at all and I agree life is too short. I am just tired of some members childish behavior and feel more people need to speak up if they feel the same way.

I guess you are telling me that you feel NJCoin has done nothing wrong which is your right. Others have spoken up for me.

If the Moderators tell me I am wrong and that NJCoin has done nothing wrong then I will abide by their decision because they own the forum.

And then yes, I will move on....

Did you ever consider that you may actually be the bully? I am not saying you are or aren't I am just saying consider it. You seem to want people to only agree with you. A little tolerance goes a long way. People have different opinions and that is O.K. If you come to an impasse move on. You don't get to tell people what they should or should not say. But you can ignore them and move on like an adult. Life is too. Just one mans view.

I never said you were. I said consider it. Nothing worse than someone saying they are leaving over and over again! If you were actually going to leave, because someone offended you so much, you would just be gone.

At this point I am going silent until I hear from a Moderator. I agree with you that this discussion is getting repetitive.

Unfortunately I learned a long time ago that an OP cannot close a thread once it has been created which sucks because members will continue to post and I feel obligated to reply🤔

I get it. I have learned from a long time on these boards not to take things to seriously. You will find that there are posters who you strongly disagree with on some topics. Then sometime down the road you are in lock step with them. Believe me it happens. Enjoy these boards, I sure do.

I'm not surprised by the poll results. Most of us remember the situation that resulted in the disagree button being eliminated and it wasn't pretty. Some otherwise good people got banned.

Of course there should not be a "dislike" button; what are we, 2nd grade children?

In some cases, the answer to that question is, unfortunately, "yes."

But there should be a "WOW!!!" button, to give proper due to some of the fabulous coins posted here from time to time!
