Thanks, went there years ago. They had some silver rounds that as I recall were 'minted' on the cc press. I got the smallest one. Still sitting on a miniature easel.

Thought some people who can't make it out there might enjoy.
Thanks. Always enjoy seeing pictures from there in Carson City.
The last time I was there just prior to COVID I had a "coin" minted for me and I believe it was the last one before they had to put Coin Press #1 under maintenance. I noticed the sigh in your photos reporting that it was currently under maintenance. I wonder if it has remained out of commission all this time?
Did anyone indicate when they expected Coin Press #1 to be back up and running?
This is a great post-- Thank you for sharing the photo tour-- I have never been to the mint in Carson City, but I plan to go someday. Your post motivates me to get this done!

Very cool, did you make it to the coin shop across the street?
I went out of obligation. But I had already scouted out their online inventory and my shopping list is very specific & somewhat tough right now so it was a short visit.
Beginning in the 1950s I traveled every year with my family from Southern California to our summer place in Plumas County - up highway 395 via Carson City. Of course I stopped at the Mint building every time. The display was rudimentary - just a half dozen coins which included an 1875 CC 20c piece, but no educational exhibits. I pointed out to my Dad that they did not have an 1876 CC because there were very valuable with only about a dozen known.
The last "coin" minted before Coin Press #1 went down needing maintenance. (Unknown how long it continued to remain "under maintenance or even if it has remained out of commission to date.)

These medals were struck by CC Coin Press 1 in 2022. It would be amazing to see the press in action.

I like the looks of that big scale
