I recently acquired my first 3CN example. Quite pleasing with noticeable luster around the periphery and slight cartwheel effect when rotated under a light source. Please GTG and I will post a slab shot this evening or tomorrow morning.

I’ll guess AU55; that’s a low mintage coin that you don’t see often!

Beautiful coin! I will guess AU55. The subtle '89' RPD typical for this coin shows up nicely in your coin. Congratulations!

Many of these suffer from a weak strike. I will say 63

Lots of responses dancing around the answer, but no correct guesses. Also noticed some regulars didn’t guess. Probably means my photos need some work. Should be fairly obvious that this coin has wear from the photo and description though.

A curious fact about the later date 3 cent coins is that often MS and Proof examples are much more common than circulated examples.

Well you should allow at least 24 hours if you want people to respond... We aren't all just sitting at our computers or on our phones 24/7 lol 😉

I was just grading it like I would if I had owned it. ;)

Missed it, but thanks for not showing the grade up top in the first post.

My thought was 55, and I still think it could be. Nice images. It's got a little bit of a weak strike, but great color and distraction free surfaces.
