Proof Cent edge almost error?

Tilted collar? Die alignment? Clashed collar?
Straight graded by our host. The incuse “groove” appears in the holder to go all the way around. The inside metal looks raw. Any thoughts?

I think it’s some sort of “anomaly” with the collar. What is the cents date?
I don't know but I will be waiting to hear what the experts have to say.

Sorry but I can't really get a feel from that photo.
If it was tilted a bit more to see the full rim of both sides that would help.
I would not call that an error, more like a process variance. I doubt it will garner any numismatic premium. Cheers, RickO
Thanks, RickO! Thing is, compared to the value of the coin, the error is insignificant. But because I’m a total data weenie, I’ve just gotta know. What caused it?
I’ll see if I can get a better image up here before too long.

I, too, would be curious about the minting cause of this edge.

First I do not know errors. I was just looking around and thought this 'Groovy Edge' sounded about right. Unfortunately it is not blue and no active link. More searching might find something.
