1909 lincoln

Hi Im knew here. My question is about the removal of the vdb. They I read when the vdb was removed of off the die, and before they replaced the new die that you can still see a trace of vdb. Does anyone have any photos of one ?

There was a recently bumped thread here where a member posted an 09 (don’t remember if it was s or p) that he dug out of his collection and noticed that he could see faint outlines of the top of the initials. I believe the consensus was that the coin was made from a VDB die that had been altered removing the initials. The results were posted, and the coin was certified as a VDB. I’ll try to find the thread when I get home shortly
