Regaining some focus

Seated Dollars have been taking up too much of my time and resources, lately. Thus, I have neglected my Standing Liberty Quarter Date Set, which is almost complete.

I have always wanted another Type One, which I haven't had, since I sold my 1917 P T1, about 9 or 10 years ago to help fund another project.

I picked this one up, because I REALLY liked the strike, luster and surfaces. Soooo many of these quarters, in PCGS & NGC slabs, have problems....Haze, PVC, spots, ugly toning, rub on the left facing knee, etc. I paid up for this piece but I really like it, because it checks all the boxes for me.

Thoughts?

I will post the grade later....Thanks.

Wow that is a nice strike, clean piece. Considering your comments about the problems of type ones, and the fine details I'm gonna say at least ms66 fh. I'm guessing there's a number of marks on the slab that aren't on the coin?

No distractions, nice fields and surfaces. Great coin.

MS64FH. Great color, love the coin. As nice a 17t1 as nice as I have seen, for the grade. Congrats.

This is THE SLQ to get for your type set. The Uncs. are usually hammered, and it's not difficult to find a shield with full detail or an ultimate FH.

A really nice full head Standing Liberty Quarter. This is where I ask myself why would I spend the money on a M65 or MS66? Of course, I'm terrible at grading.
When you say you paid up - do you mean full price guide?

    I guess I was a little optimistic... I think it's an amazing 64fh piece.

It's better than almost all of the 64 comparables that I've seen, so I'd say you were close. ;)

    Thank You.

Great addition! I agree the Type 1s are perfect candidates for representing the Standing Liberty Quarter in any Basic Type set.
Beautiful design and gorgeous when fully struck.
