Mine is this photo of Sugar Ray Robinson taken in I believe 1965 at MSG, I love this image of him standing there with a cold look on his face, one bad dude, when he was on his game there's never been one better than him. This image just captures the essence of the violence he was capable of in the ring, that look on his face, the way he's standing there, he looks fearsome. Robinson beat them all, and he did it with speed, a tremendous jab and power in both hands. There wasn't a punch in the arsenal he couldn't throw and throw with bad intentions. There will neverbe another one like him.

This is an awesone photo, Larry Bird draining a three in Dominique Wilkins face, I believe this was taken from their infamous shoot out game.

I think I posted it before via computer but don’t know how to post pics from I phone….
Clemente standing at second after 3000 hits, not the famous one tipping his cap but the one where he’s rolling his neck, head tilted upward looking every bit like the player who hath forevermore been anointed, “the great one”

Ted Williams on his rookie card I think it’s 1939 play ball. Iconic image

Alex Gordon rounding first base with teammates going wild in dugout after homering in the ninth of game one 2015 World Series against the Mets closer who was unhittable all year………… until Gordon got to him.
That tied the game which kc won in extra innings.
That titanic shot set the tone for the series, Gordon in essence telling the Mets you haven’t had to deal with a team like us all year.

    after seeing Dick Allen

    Thanks, Alfonz24......
Brings back memories..... When I was a kid I went to a San Diego Charger/Chiefs game with my mom and dad and my dad's best friend and his wife. His wife actually introduced my father to my mother! In 1948. That's why I'm here today!!.... Anyway, after the game we all waited around for some guy to show up to go to dinner with.....It was Lenny Dawson!...He was a friend somehow....I just remember thinking how BIG all those guys were!....Ahh,...memories...

P.S. I got to thinking last night after I posted this....It's possible that the QB that was a friend of my father's friend was actually Jack Kemp. For some reason I get those two, Dawson and Kemp, mixed up. Anyway, I was just a very young kid and I can't say for sure who the player was...But I'm sure it was the QB of the visiting team in San Diego. No way to find out now, all the people involved have passed......I'm almost (?) certain it was Dawson. Like I said, what impressed me the most was how BIG those guys were that walked by while we waited for our dinner Guest of Honor!

I was looking at this picture and thinking about a few things, including ... the technology aspect of it, and the mud. The mud stands out to me. Mud was such a common and iconic part of the scenery of sports in general for me as a kid. You can still get muddy if you want, but pros don't need to do it so much anymore.
