Post your sub-sets, mini-sets.

It's always interesting to see what others consider a sub-set, mini-set, etc. This is one of mine:
1861-O Seated Half made under Union control
( will be upgrading soon I hope)
1861-O Seated Half made under Louisiana state control
1861-O Seated Half made under CSA control

What exactly is a sub-set or mini-set?

That is a cool subset OP.
Whatever you define it to be, steel Lincolns could be considered a sub or mini set, or a short set of Walkers. Even a transition year like 1909 where the cent has both Lincoln and IHC coins could be a sub set.

Ok, here’s a Seated Liberty Basic subset

Here's my basic bust set, a subset of my basic coin design set. We'll see how the year goes but will add at least one, potentially all three of the gold pieces this year.
Thanks @coinbuf! So maybe something like this. W Quarters I've found and but some sets together.

Seems like a perfect subset to me! Maybe both years makes a mini set.

Subset of 5 different doubled die obverse 1930 Buffalo nickels. Doubling on eyelid is the main pickup point.
All except the second are in unattributed PCGS MS-65 or 66 holders. #2 is an old ANACS MS-64,
A very short set of Lincolns found during a search through a 1000Ct bag..........

Here is a subset of my gold dollar collection. Kind of like the short set of Walkers, this is a short set of 1880's gold dollars. This last decade of their production saw very reduced mintages, although many were saved.
I think this would qualify:

That Obverse Portrait sure does make its rounds...........
I've always liked collecting circulated 50% silver KIWIs. Here's a short set that I won on an eBay bid for under melt.

set of New Orleans seated dollars.
I have a lot of 'subs'... but no real 'sub sets'....That is what happens when you just get coins that attract you, for any one or more multiple reasons.
Cheers, RickO
I have quite a number of these, including the 1880 to 1889 set of Type III Gold Dollars that was shown earlier.
Here are a few.
World War II Cent set.
Wartime silver nickel set
Mercury Dime short set
1982 transitional cent set.
POTUS Numismatic Artifacts (PNAs) - Not a form of collecting a coin or medal series. It's collecting thematic related items. In my case:
A coin or medal manufactured by the US Mint that was gifted by a sitting POTUS which has evidential proof of provenance and/or pedigree that connects the numismatic item to the POTUS.
Here are numismatic examples connected to Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.

Research notes:

There are actually 9 artifact classes that I have identified (total of 27 items to collect).
Today I still own this, tomorrow I might not.

Always liked these Capital sets.
