Improving Turnaround times!
I had 6 submissions to PCGS they were received on 12/8, and one of my Modern Value submissions with 13 coins (all ASE various years and strikes) went into Quality Check today 12/20! Since of these included images for trueview, they have completed the encapsulation step. I have another modern value submission that was all other moderns with no ASE and it is still in grading stage. Maybe they hired more ASE graders for the huge amount of monster boxes they will receive in the next few weeks.
Didn't expect any of these to make it this far this quickly, was surprised when I logged in today expecting them to all be in the grading step still.
Regular and world modern coins in my other submissions still in grading, and still showing 50 and 70 day turnaround times on the website.

Agreed. I have seen an improvement. Makes me wonder if submissions are being held back for the new CAC service coming in January. That action would free-up the pipeline a little.

I think someone ATS said that ATS's turnaround times were around 2 weeks for an economy sub, so things look to be loosening up a bit overall, or the services are catching up. Either way it's good for us collectors!

Unless the catching up is indicative of lowering demand which could negatively impact values.
Probably a combination of improved efficiency at the TPG's and regular submitters choosing to slow down while waiting times are/were so long.
Bulk/20 special received @ PCGS on 11/17 was returned in 16 days. They got a label wrong but it happens. Economy and regular submissions they received same day are still in grading but I asked for all the bells and whistles.

Glad to hear turn-around times are improving. I know a lot of members have been a tad frustrated with the situation. For quite a long time now, I have stayed with purchasing already slabbed coins. Others may have been doing the same, and relieving the load a bit. Cheers, RickO
