Storing Coin Folders

Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to coin collecting and can't quite afford the nice stuff yet! I am working on Whitman coin folders and am wondering how you all store them? I have them just loose on a shelf in my safe but its hard to get them all out at once when I have some things to fill.

Do you use any box that fits a bunch of them that would still fit in a medium sized safe?

I have tried searching the form for answers but I keep getting distracted and end up going down rabbit holes of awesome things!

Thanks for the help

    Hi and welcome aboard.
Don't have a clue but from my experience, took me a while to find ideal sized regular cardboard carton boxes for my Danscos where two sit side by side at the bottom. The rest stacked above in alternate direction because of the slight slope and that evens them out for a snug fit, hold about a dozen in each box.
Only issue is that it gets pretty heavy if they are all big dollar coins, so had to balance it out with the dimes etc.
    Cheers.

    Nothing wrong with Whitman folders.

    Folders like this?

    Or albums like this?

I do not have or use anything but in reading your OP I thought of a tray. As it would be somewhat open but could possibly slide it out all at once. Getting the correct size might be difficult but there are many types. Maybe could search for something like:

If not full could use foam or similar to fill the gap and have room for more if added later. If you want it open on the front to be able to remove them individually, then could maybe cut out the front.

This might generate a good idea at least. :)
