We need some good pics to make any judgement.

High probability that it is a fake made for use in jewelry.

I would not bet the ranch on that one being genuine. The New Orleans Mint screwed up like that on the 1839-O quarter eagle, but by the 20th century, the standards for gold were really tight.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

We would need to see both sides at once, as mentioned above. Hold over a flat mirror so we can see the the obverse, plus the reverse as reflected in the mirror.

    The 1914 looks somewhat normal.
The 1912 (with medal alignment) does not look normal (too small in diameter, strange rims, numerous disruptions of details).
It is either a cast copy, and/or two halves joined together incorrectly.

A picture of the edge may tell the tale.

They both look fake in those photos. Lol. We need better pictures. The two coins tell us nothing. Without the mirror, you could easily just rotate one to look like medal alignment. So get rid of the reference coin and simply give is good photos of both sides, preferably with the mirror.

While you're at it, weight and diameter can't hurt. Good luck

As you can see from the above commentary, we need the picture over a mirror so we can see both sides at once. Also the edge, since it could be joined pieces. Cheers, RickO

This is the most faked series. I can't trust ANYTHING raw. There's definitely fakes which have fooled the TPG's.

THat shows the obverse and the reverse upside down relative to each other, which is the normal coin alignment.

Agree. OP, this is just my opinion, but if I were you I would move on from this coin and try to find a nice graded example that’s already been authenticated.
