apparently golf and coins aren't mixing well (at least on the pga tour) as i'm ONLY seeing people using tees to mark their balls in recent videos, INCLUDING, on the greens. the green thing was quite unexpected.
Was at a show in the early 90’s in Houston when a dealer walked out of the restroom heading back to his table with toilet paper hanging from the inside of the back of his pants. Needless to say I did not handle any of his coins. Could have gotten pink eye.
Prost!
Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

Specifically, corroded coins should not be placed in the same jar or container as uncorroded coins.
Verdigris, a.k.a. "bronze disease", is contagious in such conditions, as little flecks of corrosion can fall off one coin, land on another, and catalyze fresh corrosion on the previously uncorroded coin.
Silver and aluminium. I once took a very badly tarnished (fire damaged?) small silver coin, and a bright shiny aluminium medal, to a coin club meeting for a display, and I forgot to pack them away properly afterwards; I'd just tossed them together into a small (unsealed) Tupperware dish. A couple of months later, after a hot humid summer, I found them again - and the little silver coin had eaten a little-silver-coin-sized crater in my aluminium medal. You've seen those videos where you can de-tarnish silver using aluminium foil? Yeah, that basically happened, in miniature, on my medal.
