2004D silverish penny??

I was wrapping up coins from my collection bottle and noticed this penny I was about to put into dine sleeve. I can’t find anywhere if it’s worth more than a penny. It’s really lite and color. I’ve read in some discussions that this could be due to some chemical thing done in chemistry class? But if it was acid washed or some thing, the print wouldn’t be so clear.
Just curious if anybody can give me some insight on this coin. I’m gonna keep it anyway just cause it looks really cool but just wondering if it was worth anything.
I’ve taken a picture of it, with a black backdrop next to a dime on the left, and a really reddish clean penny on the right.

It looks plated to me. We see them from time to time
Plated after it left the mint. Not an error
Thank you. I know this is a stupid question...What does it mean to be plated?
Here is one source (page) to read on the various errors and not errors due to plating.

@Hnublis9 .... Welcome aboard. Plating is the process of adding a coating of metal to another object... Usually done by immersion in a concentrated liquid and often with electricity to enhance the process. Often done in High School chemistry classes as experiments. Cheers, RickO
