Canseco went on one heck of a rant on Twitter a few nights ago, he called New York a dump and told Aaron Judge to get out of there.

New York city is a dump, I don't know what the issue is?
Aaron Judge probably has no idea who Jose Canseco is lol
I don't know if 58-year-old Jose can actually hit a softball further than Judge a baseball, but I dont see any other inaccuracies in those tweets...
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Jose Canseco on a tirade!!! Maybe he's suffering the after affects of getting clocked in the head by that home-run ball all those years ago.
I've always heard it is a dump, and I've always pictured the average New Yorker to look something like this.
Yeah, last time I was in the City, just a couple of months ago, they looked pretty much like that. The men too.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
If anyone out there is planning a trip to New York City in the future, let me save you the money. You want to experience New York City, here you go.
We head down to the city every summer or so. Kids like the Zoo, Chinatown etc. They think its great. I think its expensive (and dirty). the toll across the George Washington Bridge was $16 this summer!!! each way!!! what in the world. If I remember correctly, it was $125 for a Semi.
when we drive by the stadium, I always tell them to hold their breath. I don't want them breathing in any disgusting Yankee air!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
...
I say this as someone who actually lived there...that's pretty accurate. Lol

The rat problem is so bad in NYC that they actually hold seminars on how to deal with them.
And yes, that seminar advertisement is real. The rats have practically taken over NYC and they are very bold and rebellious towards authority, and have an attitude problem. Like this rat, it was photographed in Central Park in broad daylight making it's escape.
That gif of the rat carrying a slice of pizza is actually a real video that was posted online, it's called "pizza rat" and the pizza rat has become famous and iconic. A while back, a man actually dressed up like the pizza rat and renacted the whole thing.
Another famous NYC rat is "coffee rat", it was photographed carrying a coffee cup through the subways of NYC.
Heck, the rats even ride the subway in NYC, as you can see in this photo, the rat is seated and then gets off at his stop.
New York is an experience... those that suggest it is a dump really need re-think what it is they have experienced in life. Pictures of pizza and rats does not offset the architecture, the art and style that influences the World. Is it perfect? No... but within the limits of what is considered NYC, it contains the best of art, design, architecture, music and what really matters. Those that want to attack that simple fact tells me more about them than NYC.
I doubt I can be more clear in fewer words.

far be it from me to call someplace a dump, i grew up in West TX and this is the type of aesthetical glory you bask in when driving around out there
am i lying @Hydrant ?
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
I think this whole thing is about the Yankee fans booing Aaron Judge at home during the ALCS because he struggled, Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta said if he were Judge, he'd get the heck out of New York because of the booing, and Jose Canseco was backing that statement. I have to be honest, it is pretty crappy of the Yankee fans to boo Aaron Judge at home after the magical season he just gave them, and if that's the kind of people that inhabit New York City, then I wouldn't want to visit that place, I don't care what the art and the buildings look like.
Man, Galixico,....West Texas is....well.....West Texas!.....But,....The Sunrise is awesome there!......Big Country.....God's County!....
Strong Men....Beautiful Women......I should know!!!!! My sympathies!.....What a Waste Land!!....

Like I said, I lived there. 99-06. It was an amazing experience. I learned and grew a lot. I could tell stories for days. I met people from literally everywhere (well, almost). Etc.
Las Vegas is certainly breathtaking, it pisses on New York City.
I love that pyramid with the Sphinx guarding it.
That light coming from the pyramid was the most sickening thing! It was visible 160 miles away to Kanab, Utah and beyond...... People hated it!......And it wrecked the nighttime sky at Toroweep Point at the Grand Canyon...... The most AWESOME place on Earth......I hated that light!!!
Toroweep Point
Some places are sacred......Las Vegas isn't one of them....
I never said Las Vegas was sacred, I said it was breathtaking, but the pyramid and the beam of light is a tribute to a place that is sacred. The beam of light from the Las Vegas pyramid is a homage to the great pyramid of ancient Egypt, which had a gold cap at the top that was put there to reflect the sun's beams. I think it's an awesome tribute to one of the greatest feats of human engineering in history. It is mind blowing to imagine what it must have taken the build the pyramids of Giza.
The pyramids of Giza are definitely a place I would love to visit. Breathtaking.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I lived in the New York City are for close to 10 years in the 1970s. I don’t want to visit it now because of crime.
I’m considering the source here: Jose Canseco.
I typically don’t consider the opinions of Surreal Life contestants.

Any major city has it's pockets of high end affluence. If one has the means you will always dwell in these areas, avoiding the seamy sides. I take it with a grain of salt the celebrities who speak in the media/TV how great this or that city is. Of course they are great, as they have the means to only dwell in the high end areas.
Agreed with Jose, I wouldn't go near that dump. Horrible place.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
Look at the Chrysler Building; the Bank of NY Building that has the legendary address of 1 wall Street; The Empire State Building; The address on the Blue Note record label at various times; MOMA; the Guggenheim; Grand Central Station; Carnegie Hall; the Waldorf Astoria; Rockefeller Center and the list goes on and on... Broadway which needs to included as well as the UN Building and all the makes the world move.
And somehow we should give the slightest consideration to an opinion of someone who apparently is unable to recognize art, architecture, jazz and the influence New York City has had in the world?
Really?
