My Early Gold Type set has grown by one.

A somewhat common date 1803/2 Draped Bust Half Eagle became available so I jumped on it. This leaves me with just the "Fat Head" Half Eagle. I know there is the Small Eagle $5 but it is out of my league in all grades and dates.

I have never personally held a Draped Bust Gold coin in all my years collecting so I can't wait to get this one tomorrow. To me this AU58CAC looks really nice and deserving of the grade. The reverse has full detail and the obverse has minimal abrasions. I think the Trueview looks great next to the others in the set. It is a common date with a CAC pop of 33 in AU58 with 47 higher. Maybe one of the other dates will come my way later in life. It would be nice to get one dated 1799 or the 1806 7x6 stars to go with this 8x5 variety. I can't wait to see it in hand and place it next to the 1811.
