The coin in the paragraph sounds very familiar. There was a guy on one of the Yahoo groups years and years ago (maybe 20 years ago at this point) trying to peddle a 95 double denomination with the exact same characteristics for $1,000,000. He claimed that the price would only increase every day. Not certain he ever sold it. At least for that price anyway.
I believe we have seen a 'cent/dime' error coin recently shown on this forum. Do not recall when, but seems like it was this year. Do not recall any pricing associated with it. Cheers, RickO
I did not find reference to $20,000,000, but yes, it certainly seems to be the same coin and same person. Too bad Alan Hager did not get the designation correct with the ACG slab. I recall in the old Yahoo group that we tried and tried to tell the guy it is not worth a million dollars, but he stood his ground. Well, here it is over 20 years later and still has not found a buyer. He will take it with him to his grave I guess.
@yosclimber Thanks for sharing! Oops, same coin! Didn't mean to reopen an old conversation, just thought seeing a PCGS CoinFact go from fact to fiction to fantasy might bring a smile to someone's face.

There are also the similar coins struck on the wrong denomination blank planchet.
