Doubled Denomination with 2 popular full dates 1995

when it comes to determine the market value of any double denomination the 2 Full dates of both denomination is clearly read like 1995 obverse as one of example and only one known then you add up the 2 LIBERTY, 2 IN GOD WE TRUST , P Mintmark , VDB, and also some variety as skull break and major crack die variety and many more. Every Details of Both Denomination is very important to see in a surface as same side of a coin rather than flip over. The more great eye appeal is the most expensive.

Nice to know.
thank You, An eleven cent piece doubled denomination is smaller than penny but larger than dime. A true double denomination 1995 Penny on Dime Planchet.
One of my favorite error types by far.
I currently have 21 different dates on eleven cent pieces.
99,99% all Rare Coins are Identical but not on eleven cent piece all are unique and they said are common doubled denomination , Less details are common but if you have all the majority of original details of both denomination this is not common anymore an extraordinary with no assigned Numerical number grade as MS 60-70. Doubled Denomination 11 cent is more attractive than wrong planchet/ metal. it will never grab attention to the public eye. You can show a steel cent 1944 Lincoln cent or 1943 copper or bronze to the public without knowledge in Numismatic they will ignore your wrong metal. But when you show two heads two tails then the attention of public is in your coin now !
I was bummed when I recently sold this one ......
because it is soooo nice ......
not 2 complete date 1996 and the LIBERTY is not complete word either and 1996 is not popular date ! Big Differences to 1995 2 complete popular date and complete word of LIBERTY
@redub117 Why is 1995 considered a popular date and 1996 is not??
The answer is 1995 Doubled Die because this is the most popular on that year ! A real trophy if you can find in the circulation of 1995 Doubled Die and once is in the front Page of Leading Newspaper USA Today, In RADIO, TV news and to all Numismatic Coin Magazines/Paper. In the early year of 1996 month of March i bring this coin in Baltimore Coin Show in Maryland.I Show it to some Bourse table even in PCGS and other TPG. They are all Breathless, An awesome coin in Hand, No record in any TPG that they certified doubled Denomination eleven cents till year 2000.
reverse of my doubled denomination 11 cent piece.
Sounds a bit like you are making a sales pitch, but in any case I would differ a bit with your assessment of the interest in 11 cent coins vs off metal errors.
While the uninformed general public might find an 11 cent coin more interesting, coin collectors- the ones who actually buy coins - value the major off metal errors you mentioned more highly as far as I know.
it was explain in a coin world magazine. Most expensive is double denomination than wrong planchet. In coin Fact.com/PCGS : a double denomination is one of the most expensive coin error blah blah blah.
Certainly an interesting error coin....I would like to understand how it occurred... Cheers, RickO
did you read the coin fact.com/PCGS : Double Denomination I posted / COIN FACT
I’ve always wanted an error coin like that but, alas, I probably will never find one myself or spend the money to get one.
I seem to remember the mint had some shenanigans in the 90s even with extra security measures in place. Perhaps many of these are intentional on workers parts like the 2000 mule?
the mule is more intentionally minted than doubled denomination eleven cent that Accidentally minted in US MINT. A true doubled Denomination eleven cent is smaller than penny but larger than dime.
I can not tell from your photo. Please answer ...
Are you saying that your 1995 double denomination is ALSO a 1995 Double Die? Or Not?
Not 1995 Double Die but more interesting xtra die or another O something like that plus reeded dime and unreeded perfectly round Neat rim with no Dings plus Mirror Proof like obvese/reverse then High Relief of linconl cent.
you can see here the full complete date of dime 1995.
Nice coin @redub, but these 11 cent pieces are fairly common. There was a recent auction at Heritage where there were dozens of 11 centers up for auction. Not from that auction, but I have two from 2000.

the 11 cent double denomination you posted year 2000 is not either 2 complete full dates vs 1995 2 popular full complete date. like comparing 1975 Dime Proof S vs 1975 Dime proof No S Mintmark. A big differences comparing all common denomination less details vs Major Dramatic Detail with 2 complete popular full dates. Again if you gonna compares 2 date to 2 full complete dates is much more big difference plus a Year Date 2000 vs 1995. one thing more a Flip Over is less expensive compare with 2 Heads obverse and 2 tails reverse.
Yes, two clear dates are optimal, but you are pushing it a little too much. Plus I have no idea what you are talking about 1995 being a popular date.
Eye appeal is paramount on error coins and bolivarshagnasty sure posted some nice ones.
As to rare date dates, well I have a few of those such as 1965, 1966, 1967, 2002, 2003 and 2007
Well in any case I've got you beat. I have a 2016 nickel struck over a 2015. Rarer by far than any 11 cent coin.
1995 2 full complete popular date still Unbeatable, Why you can not even post the picture of the coin that you people saying that you beat this coin in major Dramatic Details and popularity. Ha ha ha.
Why is 1995 so "popular"?
why 1995 date is Popular because of the Discovery of 1995 Double Die. Then You add up the 1795 popular date plus 1895 popular date
"me coin better than you coin" ……….. ahh, ok, I get it now.
I guess it's not enough to have a great error. It also has to be better than everyone else's.
And BTW, why isn't it in a slab?
which one you are talking is not slab >
Only the top part of the 5 is visible on the dime. The R from TRUST on the cent strike covers the bottom part of the 5. What looks like the bottom loop is really the R. So I guess it doesn't have 2 full dates after all. Ha ha ha
Really ? Your computer screen or the photograph is weak but if u have 20/20 vision even without using magnifier still complete full date of a dime. here is more close up you will need to see.
I see an R where the bottom of the 5 should be.
Oh god... this guy again 🙄.
Your coin Is no more special than any other double denomination.
FranklinHalf < is your own opinion nor for other knowleadgeable professional coin error. But if you analyze the Coin FACT and use your BRAIN to understand what it is saying then you will come up with the reality. You can not compare less details to major details it is big difference a two dates vs full complete date is one of example. in a normal coin MS 60 vs MS 70 the price gap is HUGE like 1893s Silver Morgan Ms60 vs MS 66
It’s redwin from CoinTalk, right?
Those were some interesting times.

Fun to see him back at it.
Yea. Trying to pump up that million dollar error.
My Ebay Store
yes! I am REDWIN117 from Coin Talk and also one of the Original Member of the very first US Coin CHAT Forum in Yahoo Group name Error World that start in 1999 the creator is Jim LAZ and the webmaster is SUROK, and some of the member is Fred Weinberg, Mike Byer CONECA Mike Ellis and some Governor of ANA and many more with at least 600 member on that era of in the early year of Worl Wide web in a Hobby of a King. , My very first Handle is Rags to Riches in 1999 then after it was certified/authenticated my Doubled Denomination in Baltimore Coin Show in Maryland on March 2000, My handle become Pennyondime95,. Too many jealous coin collector on that time, Then even my handle was cloned to Pennyondime_95 with space. Then later people now attacking Mr Alan Hager. A very Sad Day in World of Numismatic specially those coin collector was name in lawsuit of DEFAMATION count, 1 Count 2 and count 3, etc..So as being 20 years in a World Wide Web i am very well known owning this coin from the very first Day of 1995 of December that i am showing this in my hometown of Annapolis, Maryland at local Coin Show also in Baltimore where i have also own house in Glen Burnie, Baltimore. Happy Holiday to All.
I’ll say one thing. You certainly are committed to that coin!
I love it ! 24 Years in my Hand still counting to 25 Years Anniversary Next year. A centerpiece of my Collection. You can Find Money of Million and Million of US dollars but you can not Find Another one of 1995 Penny On Dime Planchet. All offered for the last 24 Years all is DECLINED.
Somebody needs to up their meds.
I liked the OPs coin as well as the other members who posted a similar error. It's always nice to see multiple examples of an unusual error.
However, @redub117 please stop with the "my coin is better than your coin" nonsense. This is not a competition . The other members were just sharing their examp les, which makes posts like this even more interesting to members like me. If you continue with that type of follow up comment, you'll just end up on a lot of Ignore lists.
oldhoopster *** said * _ please stop with the >> my coin is better than your coin ? who said that ? I am the OP and never said that. All i am trying to explain is the big differences of Major Details than less details in any Doubled Denomination Eleven Cent piece. A 2 dates vs 2 full completes dates is Big Differences in Market Value a popular date plus no pupularity date . A great major Dramatic Details vs No Eye appeal. Doubled Denomination is more great eye appeal and attractive than wrong planchet like any other lincoln cent strike in Dime planchet or any metal or foreign planchet. SHARED the Knowledge ...In a Hobby of a King the Key is Knowledges.
now i see it from Bolivarhagnasty member said that..me coin is better than your coin. As I repeat i am trying to explain how to determine the market value of Doubled Denomination eleven cent. Comparing to Normal Coin of Extra Fine to MS 70.._Is Big Differences in Market Value. the more major original details on both coin is the most expensive this is applied on any eleven cent or six cents Doubled Denomination..
There are a couple of long-term forum members whose opinion on errors (and value) carries far more weight than a rambling boastful post.
What started out as a cool thread about cool error coins turned into a mustard stain splatter, mostly from the OP (who posted a cool coin). Should have stopped before the coherent sentence and punctuation fluids ran dry.
