Very nice...that 43/2 is a great score.
Were they all cherrypicks or did you have to pay up for them?
And what year were these coins submitted?
Congrats!!
nice trio.
do you have any commentary about the possible re-engraving on the 3/2?
All three coins were cherrypicked by me as raw coins at a low cost.
I submitted all three coins for grading in February, 2022 at the Long Beach show. They came back to me during the summer all graded without the variety designations. I apparently did not fill out the submission form correctly (requesting variety designation) and thus I needed to resubmit them.
I resubmitted them on 9-29-2022 at the Long Beach show (this time with the properly filled out submission form). They were logged in as received on 10-5-2022. Today the grades posted and I expect that they will be mailed to me in a day or two. Trueview photos of the coins had been taken earlier and are available on line.
It was a reholder, correct?

The Trueview of the 1943/2 P nickel is out of focus, thus the photo does not show the diagnostics/PUPs for this variety very well. However, viewing the coin in hand under good lighting with a 10x loupe reveals the presence of the diagnostics/PUPs very well. The Coin Facts close up of the diagnostics/PUPs look just like those on my coin.
I do not think the coin is an example of an EDS.
As far as possible re-engraving goes, please provide a further explanation of what you mean as it applies to this coin.
Yes!

Beautiful successful submission.
Good for you, dude.
Esp. on that '43/2
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.oh the rest of the diagnostics/coin is spot-on.
the "pony tail" or whatever and the ribbon are known to have been re-engraved (a LOOOOOT of usa coin dies do) and there is something peculiar about the 3/2 from the TV, so when you get it back and are so inclined/curious, i'd enjoy your take on that area. we can do some more specific convo at that time with some pups.
Congratulations brother👍👍
Nice picks and grades!

Can definitely see what you're talking about Lance. No question in my mind there was some significant reengraving on the ponytail.
Great cherry picking @SanctionII.

@SanctionII... Excellent grades, and well done with your cherry picking skills. Cheers, RickO
Here are the current Trueview photos of the three coins.
Here are the previous Trueview photos of the three coins taken earlier this year when they were graded (without the variety designation). The two sets of photos show different looks for the coins.
Wow, I'd say.
Nice eye for cherry picks. Congrats.
TTT.
I received the three coins back from PCGS today. The look great in holders that have the Variety information set forth in the slab insert label.
Following up on LanceNewmanOCC's replies to this thread, I looked at the pony tail and ribbon of the bust of Jefferson on the 1943/2 P nickel through a 10x loupe.
The portion of the pony tail and ribbon at the lowest part of the bust of Jefferson, adjacent to the rim of the coin is delineated by some very sharp and prominent raised lines that have the appearance of a "wishbone" from a turkey.
Since these lines are raised on the surface of the coin they had to be incuse on the die that struck the coin. Since these lines on the coin are higher than the surrounding devices they must have resulted from being struck by a die that had been "tweeked" by a mint employee (by re-engraving the die).
Further, the raised line on the coin extends from the top of the "wishbone" and continues along the edge of the portion of the ribbon that extends outward from the bust of Jefferson towards the the number "3" in the date and then turns at a 90 degree angle back towards the bust of Jefferson.
Also, since it had been a while since I have had the coin in hand, my memory of same was based mostly on the two Trueview photos of the coin posted above. Neither photo shows the fine detail of the coin very well. Seeing the coin in hand again through a 10x loupe reveals that the quality of the coin to be very nice. It may have been struck earlier in the life of the die that I had previously thought.
I await comment from LanceNewmanOCC
