Just my thoughts.
The obverse looks like a carving or done with a sharp die and no pressure.
The reverse looks like it took all the pressure.
Janky should be the real question...The definition
What ?
could it be the 2x2 plastic causing a distortion appearance?

Might have been whizzed. That process piles metal up around the edges of the devices.

I am not sure what to think about this but here is what I did.
Could be differences in the photo alignment or as noted above bent coin or the plastic or maybe something in what I did or...
Ideas?
First I took the second coin reverse and captured the picture around the ONE CENT.
.
.
.
Next I move it over the first coin (OP) reverse and aligned the left side rim and wreath. Notice how small the coin is to make this alignment. Also you can just see the bottoms of a couple letters (not in the same position).

Next I moved it over the first coin (OP) reverse and aligned the right side rim and wreath. Notice the coin is much closer to the same diameter to make this alignment but still smaller. Again the bottom of the letters showing.
.
.
.
Next I made the it approximately the same diameter and then moved it above CENT and kept the edges aligned as best I could or centered. Also the OP coin the tops and bottoms of the letters are not at the same height but the other coin is. Then there is the obivious differences in the letter spacings and height and....

That dot under the ribbon I don't like
Janky is defined as 'inferior in quality'..... Looks OK to me.... Cheers, RickO
the obv looked a bit concave, enough to bend the letters on the reverse out of square.
i must be getting old AND it is too early, those letters if i look at them continually causes a bit of vertigo or something!
