I just got these 2 store cards in the mail today. I'm extremely happy to find these 2 Michigan store cards with dates of 1861 and 1862. My 1st 2 store cards from my home state of Michigan. :)

    Those look great!

What's on the other side? Do they have a common reverse?

Do you know who struck these?

I bought these copper rounds on Ebay. Don't know who minted them.

Nothing extraordinary but I like that these are the original composition from 1909

I’ve got to seek out all 4 in PR70 eventually

Should I send this in for grading?

    I would not recommend that.

The carbon spots are going to limit the grade. Also, it might just be lighting but the color seems off to me... I wouldn't send in for grading... not worth the fees and shipping.

Thank you guys. The color is different in real life than in my pictures. I'm still working on that part.

@lkenefic I was watching that coin on Ebay for a while...good price but the hit on the E in CENT kept me on the sidelines.I am sure it looks better in hand. This coin is what I call "A Tail of Two Sides." From the Twin Leaf Collection.

Yeah, I weighed the reverse hit against the accurate grade, trueview, original surfaces, and the CAC sticker... that it was priced near greysheet was what made me pull the trigger.

Edited to add... and its likely the last coin I'll be buying until Summer.

... and this piece will live in its AU55 CAC'd plastic tomb
